    I don't work for leads.
I have 5 reversals from Bart's Water Sports??
Everything else are sales starting at 02:04:42 AM up to 10:33:04 AM
I even have a few sales from "GiftTree",
Yesterday, I was killed by the Music123 reversal maniac, I had a hard time to keep a positive balance.

Below is a message from Anne from another post which I think hits the nail on the head regarding the strange CJ stats we have all been seeing. Ah, but since we have no way of proving anything, we will never know.

It used to be if there was a 10-12 hour
No Sales Period, it was because there was
a backup of posting the transactions and
eventually, in a day or so, the sales/commissions
found there way into our accounts. Now, it
seems with these Lack of Sales periods, the sales/
    commissions are Lost.

There seems to be a pattern Every Month (sometimes
many times a month) where several Publishers at
the same time or day experience a 10-12 hour NO
    Sales period.

It happens far too often Not to be addressed
by CJ. We are given the pact answer that
"normal sales volume has been recorded in that
time period" or "you don't sell enough --
it's probably just a sales fluctuation"

Frankly I'm amazed that CJ chooses to ignore
this problem. Not only are We losing commssion,
they are as well. Maybe it's Not Engough of
a loss to them to outlay the expense in
    investigating the problem?

Back in December I asked Todd about the
Tracking Servers with this post ...

    http://abw.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&...9&m=3446013381

He stated that the Tracking Servers are on
a Load Balancer -- which I guess means as
transactions come in, whichever server is open
    takes it & tracks it?

I had thought maybe tracking servers attached to
specific Publishers might not be working correctly --
I guess That's not the problem.

I have also thought the problem may be Regional --
For example could it be sometimes for some unknown
reason, Publishers using East Coast hosting are affected?

Oh well, I'm not in a position or techie enough
to figure this out -- We need a Sherlock Holmes!

Too bad CJ won't investigate Unless Every Single
    Publisher is not tracking.

Heck, all you gotta do to un-stick the Sales Balance amount at CJ is go to the main page, take your finger, and ) TINK ( the number two or three times.

    It works EVERY time!!!!!!!

Not that we would hear anything positive, but it would be nice if we could get just a little bit more details about how the load balancer works (or does not work -ha).

Hey Todd, where are you? Last time you answered anyone's questions here was 19 days ago. You still alive? Or just on a very long Christmas vacation?

In October and November we were concerned that not all our sales were making it to CJ and to our affiliates so I instigated a reconciliation process.

In our database we store the CJ Ad ID and Publisher web site ID with every order, so I matched that up with what was transmitted to CJ and everything has matched so far.

There have been a couple of times when impressions, clicks, and sales froze for 10-12 hours but within a day everything was caught up and correctly posted.

Honesty and ethics are very important to me in our affiliate program. I will immedaitely manually credit an affiliate who complains about a sale not being tracked (even if the made the order without remembering to click on their own affiliate link) and the only time I have done a chargeback was when the affiliate themselves was abusing the system and using a stolen credit card - we never penalize affiliates for one of their referrals being fraudulent.

Our sales have been normal across the board. I've got about 20 websites under my one account and while some are up and others are down - I don't see anything unusual about CJ's stats.

Right now I am experimenting with adwords, and yesterdays sales (using adwords) were about double.

    Thanks Elbowcreek

Our program wasn't so great earlier this year because no-one was really taking care of it they way they should but in the past few months I have given it a lot of attention, raised commission rates, put in place a bonus program, new links, etc. End result is we have doubled sales, clicks, and impressions for each of the past two months.

Still got a way to go to get it back to where it was a year ago.

eBay leads appear off. Are bid to lead ratio today is 35 to 1 which also means our worse day ever with them and we've been in the program for more than 4 years.

I'd like to say that Mark is a good guy, and Dotster are a great company - they're fighting the WLS for us.

So if you're an affiliate selling domains via eNom's program, be aware that eNom support spammers (and possibly spam themselves) so I urge you to give Dotster a try.

As for CJ stats today, without taking the time to research ti fully, it does seem a bit drier than usual.

    Zeus -

I just had a Bart's Water Sports reversal as well. Though it was a legitimate duplicate order. That gives a grand total of one order in December. I can only wish I had five orders...

Thanks Drewbert for the good comments. I expect WLS (Verisign creating another monopoly for themselves, http://web.dotster.com/common/content/wls/index.php) will be scapped sometime in the next few months.

More on topic: My personal site, which I need to update more often, had its best day ever on CJ yesterday, $50 commission from 3 sales. WooHoo!

Yesterday was a good day for me, too, and this week looks to be one of my best weeks ever. All this creates further frustration as to what happend over the weekend. Statistically I should have had sales during that period.

I do not try to look at my sales under a microscope, but do wonder if there are periods where some of us just loose sales that we should have gotten and I guess I brought this up as this seemed to be one of those for me as well as for others.

Enough said - I'll drop this subject as it is an excersie in futility.
