The ratio is defined as
average monthly commission divided by # of daily unique visitors.

For example, if you earn $3,000 in a month, and your site has about 1,000 unique visitors each day, your ratio would be 3.

I am getting about 2.5 - 3. How are you guys doing?

hmm I guess I read it wrong. So if you get 30k uniques in a month and earn 3000 dollars the ratio is 3 right?

$3,000 a month commissions, 1,000 unique a day
$3,000 a month commissions, 30,000 unique a month
so 10 cents a unique visitor

How is is possible to make 2-3 dollars pr. visitor?

I get 25 click-throughs per 100 visitors, and 3 of those 25 are buying. Commission per sale is ranging from $5-$15. So, I have a ratio of 0.15 to 0.45.

Guess it's back to the drawing board.

no you don't calculate it that way. we are talking about monthly commissions. for example, assuming you have a daily traffic of 100 visitors, and each day you have commission from $5 - $15, that's $150 - $450 commission monthly. that translates to a ratio of 1.5 to 4.50, which could be quite good.

Mixing units (days and months) always makes for a confusing figure. The poll would have been easier to take monthly commissions and divide by monthly visitors.

Of course, since a lot of stats programs only report sessions (not visitors) the figure you asked for was probably a little more accurate.

Woops, posted wrong answer. Didn´t read the unique daily bit - as mentioned above I hate when units are mixed

Oops. I divided monthly visitors by monthly commission.

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
