It would be interesting to see how many aff's here are local or international

Of course everyone is designing the web site from where they are...meaning that everyone is local. Most are also loco.

I guess there are a few expatriots in the world. Even then, they are kind a stuck inside their body.

Hmmm, maybe ssanf might know a out of body web design trick. So she might have a way of not being local.

    boom!

    Ok..
Maybe if we do it this way:
At CJ/Performics or LS are you defined as International or US citizen.

Can't get in to edit the poll.

I doubt any of you are "local" to where I live...

But I am in the U.S.

    Oddly worded poll.

As a Canadian I don't fit either of your choices. But if you ask me, I'd say I was local...heck, I'm local to me.

    I don't know why I used 'local'

Mod can you change it to USA or International Aff's 'cos I can't get in to edit it or I'm never going to hear the end of it?

LOL it's just how your brain sees things, eh? You think of anyone being from the same country as you as being "local"

I read this and first thought local..then I realized (oh, I kid you not..it took me a few minutes to realize it) that i was International. I certainly don't consider myself "international" but I guess when compared to US based I am.

Overseas is even more confusing question than local. Just about everyone who is in America either came from overseas or is descended from someone who crossed the ocean in a boat.

There are some that came over on an ice bridge between Russia and the US about 14k years ago. Even though they were walking at the time, I guess you could say they came overseas as well.

LOL! Give me a break guys

It's really not that hard, the networks either classify you as International or US (local )

[LOL it's just how your brain sees things, eh? You think of anyone being from the same country as you as being "local]

To add to the confusion, I'm from Australia LOL!

Maybe the poll should have been worded:
    Are you Loco or International?

No, I take that back, I'm a US expatriot in Germany right now, and I'm getting enough flack as it is.

Just for the record, I target all my sites for the US audience only. Being successful in other countries requires really understanding their cultures (fears about mail order, payment systems, etc) as well as a good ability to write in the local language. I fail on both accounts.
