Coca-Cola adds life!

But root beer is much better than either. I'd usually choose water over any cola, if there was no root beer around.

Ah, root beer. Before I started going to school, my grandpa and I used to spend Saturday afternoons in the basement watching the the Roller Derby girls on the old black and white TV. While the women-folk talked upstairs, he drank beer from the can and smoked cigars - and I mimicked every move with my can of Food Fair root beer and Slim Jims beef jerky.

Yup, root beer, slim jims, and roller derby women - what more could a 5 year old want?

I only ever tried root beer once, in a MacDonalds in Hollywood (or Santa Barbara or somewhere) in 1976.

All I remember is it was like a cross between toothpaste and cough medicine...

Coke is the only choice for me. Unless there is a Dr.Pepper around.

Coke, it's the Real thing..Not some too sweet knock-off.

I think that root beer is the nastiest tasting drink imaginable. My wife loves it. Yuk!
Coke always seems to give me indigestion, but I drink it anyway
I actually prefer dandelion and burdok. It is a drink in England, I love it. Never seen it here in America though

"dandelion and burdok" like Rubarb & carrot juice gives me the runs. Watermellon and Celery or just plain water works for me ....Charlie. Mike preferrs Budweiser over either of the choices.

Tsk, you just haven't tasted the GOOD stuff.

That junk they have at McDonald's sucks. They CALL it Barq's, at least around here, but once *they're* done with it, it bears no resemblance. First off, it seems to be watered down. Secondly, they tend to run it through the same spigot as the ORANGE drink which picks up that awful flavor (that's where that cough medicine taste came from). I know the second one for a fact since I've caught 'em at it a few times...they will actually look you straight in the face and insist it doesn't affect the taste! HA HA HA!! You can always tell it's someone who's never tasted it, if they can say *that* noise with a straight face...

Oh, and as I used to say to my (English) grandpa, who did that same "Mac" Donald's thing--it's MCDonald's (Pronounced, Mick-Donalds)!

I actually rotate Vanilla Coke and Folger's French Vanilla Coffee, freshly ground.
And vanilla is known to repel mosquitos, and well, living here in Minnesota......I should be safe this year.

Vanilla Coke!

Yea, I still mix it up between classic and vanilla, but vanilla is starting to gain the edge. If I order a coke in a restaurant and they ask if pepsi is okay, I say NO, it's not, make it water instead. Thus, Taco Bell or Kentucky Fried orders are always to go, to avoid that swill

My vote goes to Dr. Pepper!

Given a choice between Pepsi or Coke, I prefer the taste of Coke, but I don't like some of the company's policies, so I switched to Pepsi in protest.

Root Beer also gets a thumbs up, as there's nothing better on a hot Summer day!

I remember visiting Atlanta and stopping by 'World of Coke'. The history of coke was fascinating and I swore that I would never drink pepsi again. Weird I know.

That said, Pepsi just tastes better But if it weren't for Coke, Pepsi would not be here today.

Coke of course, the king of soft drinks.
I was hooked on Mountain Dew (the only decent Pepsi product) when i had a real job, it used to be my breakfast.

I drink coffee from when I wake up till bedtime.

not too much on soda, but I prepared Pepsi over Coke.

I do love RootBeer specially with vanilla ice cream.

The best RootBeer I have tried is from Tulsa OK.
they have a local burger stand there and they make homemade RootBeer it's awesome!
(forgot the name of it though and the burger stand)
