About 400 a day. It's been growing lately, too -- used to be 250 a day about a month ago.

Too many to count, constantly deleting them as they come in. If I could have a dollar for every spam email I got I wouldn't need to build pages!

150 to 175 a day, and yes some important messages get lost by my filtering.

    200/day, 400/day?!

OMG, I'll kill my email address *long* before it gets to that!

10-20 spams/day and I'm already considering a new email box.

    Don't understand the spams email:

I don't mind too much reading advertisement really. Except waste my time.

But why most spam emails do not have good advertisement message inside ??
no contact, url not work, cannot reponse to the message offer, cannot buy from the spam's offers.

Only strange characters, virus, strange scripts or pure non-sense ??

Why spams are not just advertisement messages ?
If no advertisement, why send out the spam actually ?

    <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Nah, I switch my main address every 2-3 years. At first, this happened by accident--I had free e-mail at a place, but they closed down. Then, I switched to Mail.com, but there were some places that wouldn't accept a free email address. So I changed it again, this time to a non-free address.

But through all of that, I learned that changing the address every few years kept the spam to an absolute minimum! So to heck with having a permanent email address. It's a pain to change the address on record at all the places I'm registered with, but not nearly the pain 100+ spams/day would be...

I have a few minor email addresses that don't get changed much, but they don't seem to attract the spam that the main one does.

Sheesh, I don't even try and count them anymore. I have MailWasher set to check every 5 minutes, and usually have some to delete. I try not to go to long without deleting or it becomes too hard to sort through and get my legit email. I'll even delete them if I wake up in the middle of the night so that I don't wake up to 200+ in the morning.

    Leader,

do you get spam from people sent email to your domains?

    like webmaster@spam.com
    info@spam.com
    leader@spam.com

If you own many domain, there are more emails from the domains you own.

Unless you do not use your hosting account email at all.

I only set up an email with a domain if I really intend to use it. Most of my domains have no active email accounts.

And when I *do* set one up, I make sure to never use something spammers could easily guess like webmaster@mysite.com. That seems to at least cut out all the ones who just put "webmaster@" or "info@" in front of every domain name they can get ahold of...

At one stage i was getting 1000+ an hour but now they they just trickle in.

Changed all published email addresses to be echoed by a JavaScript and added a mod_rewrite to lock out all known harvesters.

    Very effective.
