I use 120x60 because 125x125 is big for me and there are not many 120x90. Also like 120x30, but they are rare too, so I end up using 88x31.

468x60 for the top, next to my site logo. - fill the page top and experiment the result.
125x125 for rotation right side. - other merchant on refresh.
88x31 anywhere they fit. - more option to sell something not related to that page.

Only one vertical banner for me on the right hand side.

468*60, just because they fit on more pages than the other ones.

I personally like big ones that stick out like sore thumbs, but not too many merchants offer them, or they provide a big square (not what I'm looking for).

I used to use 468x60 and also tried other sizes, but I don't use any at all now.

My site performance told me that 99.99% of my sales are generated from text links, so I might as well skip the banners to make the page load a little faster.

AT, you are right. It seems that people still prefer text/content links. However, I am seeing more people also clicking on very small banners. I guess they like it because it's not "in their face", but those are ones I like, the brighter the better. I guess to each his own.

I like the 468X60 and a smaller one. Just the way I set up a page for one of my merchants but then I want mostly text links.

468X60 product banner on forum pages to add some shape to an otherwise boring design. They really don't add much but color and build some name recognition for text ads elsewhere in the site.

120X600 skyscraper adsense on content pages where I can design to draw eyes in the places I want them. Google activity pays the hosting fees overall.

Text with custom pre-sell mixed throughout the content. These are the ones that make the money when it is all said and done.

    1 - mostly 120x60 anywhere

2 - faster loading for 90% dial-up customers, keep them longer

3 - more room for contents and text links

    4 - depends what's hot, top of page 468X60, 88x31 sides

All my pages are designed to work best with them. I have stopped using 468's because my content is in the middle, and that's all that I want there - long story.

Yeah, I didn't mention before that text links are my favorite, too. But without a 468*60 to stick at the top I'm stuck making a logo or else it looks too plain up there.

I have just now noticed I am the only person using the banner size 230x60. I use that size for my Instant Messenger.

Well I had better thank Dale of TFAW for having those created for me!
