Again, a major network (Linkshare) is inaccessible. How much do you think they lose when they are down? People cannot log-in, so they cannot create a new content. People lose faith in a network etc etc.

How much do you think it could cost them if they are down for 24 hours for example?

I am sick of the major networks being down. How can this happen?

If their own site is down, it is probably in the thousands, but I've never seen their tracking servers go down at all - if those went down, my guess is they'd lose thousands a minute.

I think it depends on how much it happens. Sure, some might get antsy and rip links, but I would expect that most who are making money with them will put up with occasional downtime.

If it keeps on happening (which it seems to be with LS--I keep seeing that thread popping back up), then they could lose serious cash as the moneymakers begin to bail.

Big network computers are like everyone elses, now and then the go funky.

The server side tech on the merchant side still carptures all the sales, so no sales are lost.
