    Per Rhea's question - suggestion.

How many of us do participate in the following niches?

No room for "All of the above", but you can post it if you do "all"

You know, I am probably cutting myself out of 70% of the market, but-

tobacco- No, because my dad, a heavy smoker, died at age 51. I was 9.

gambling - Never been sure it was legal to have an affiliate site for casinos hosted in the US.

Pornography - Eh, nope, probably silly, but I really don't want my family seeing me promoting that stuff.

Pharmaceuticals - Can see me getting included in a lawsuit if someone dies from using a medicine or somesuch that gets recalled.

Now, as for the niches I DO participate in, heh, NOYDB , lol, if you can figure that out.

I bet you'd look real cute strutting your stuff down the main street in your colourful pimping clothes and your gold tipped cane etc.

Thanks, Jorge! I appreciate that you did all that work! I just came in from working in the garden and was happy to find that you'd taken care of this.

I don't promote any of these niches. Obviously I could make more money if I promoted these types of programs, but I have to be true to myself and work within my "comfort zone." YMMV.

Well, I have a naughty store with toys and clothes but it isn't porn unless you count the pics of the scantily clad models. They are close but they just try to look pouty. I guess, that is sexy or something.

None of the above but the main reason I don't do tobacco is I live in the south and can get it cheaper offline.

None of the above, and no plans to. I've been able to do quite well, keeping my sites family friendly.

Did gambling for a few years back, then dropped out when the legal costs seemed like they might want to mount.

A little tip for anyone looking to risk it - burn cds of the downloads, most programs have them, make a deal with bus and plane charters to include it in their Vegas/Gambling giveaway package - free 10,000 games! Or just give a guy $20 to hand them out... Either way works wonders.

    None of the above.

    Tobacco--Commissions too cheap!

Pharma--There's a lot less competitive stuff out there, that's not so deadly dull to me. ZZzzzzz...I just can't gin up any excitement about pills.

Porno--No thanks. They used to say something like, "20% of surfers look at porn sites." Well, 100% of surfers will look at clean sites!

    Gambling--Another oversaturated category.

I voted pornography just because no one else has. I don't actually deal in it at all but I thought I'd help out the honesty factor on the poll.

    Tobacco - Pharmaceuticals - Pornography - Gambling

    None of the above

For the main reason that I only promote family friendly sites.

It's got to be more than 20%. Just look at the top searched keywords list at Wordtracker. You have to scroll a long ways down to find the family stuff.

Did anyone see the story on Dateline last night about InternetDating services? They did a story about Match.com and their growing success. I'd love to know how many affiliates promote for online dating services.

I couldn't even fathom trying to explain to the wife if she saw me working on a porno site and trying to tell her it was one I made
