Is is possible to get rejected by a merchant? My site looks like crap since it is my first one. I just applied for some merchants so that I can hopefully add their links. Could I be denied?

If the merchant does manual approval, they can accept or reject you. It is usually based on a certain criteria they have set for their company. If you do get rejected, try writing their Affiliate Manager and explain to them the situation and even ask for their advice or help.

IMO, the merchants that manually look at your site for approval are more likely to have good programs - since reviewing sites is the 1st step at keeping out cookie stuffers

How would I find out theri aff. managers contact info?

Sure enough, I got rejected from my very first request. I really hope I dont have to pay someone to make my site for me. I am pretty sure it got rejected because it looks like a NOOB did it. I dont really understand why they would care? It cant hurt to have me sending them traffic?
