I know Haiko has recommended, but out of sheer laziness, I never implemented it. Recently, I put the &afsrc=1 on all my links across my largest sites. Damned if sales have not increased by 10-20% since then. (it has been about 2 weeks at about 13000 clicks a day)

I've seen a significant increase in traffic since I added &afsrc=1 to my links. I haven't crunched the numbers yet but my gut tells me that sales had a nice increase as well.

Can someone point me to the thread where Haiko suggested this? Hell I would try anything if it works

It really SHOULDN'T make a difference to network links (CJ BF LS) it is ONLY required on redirected links for these merchants.

I have seen it be useful on indy links, one particular KB program in particular was affected by NOT having afsrc=1.

Who knows if the parameter REALLY works, or if it will continue to work, or if it can be ignored at the whim of the parasites!

I've seen this dozens of times but never explained and I never asked (until now.)

What, exactly is meant by "redirected links" and how is it different from network links?

How would that affect traffic? Or do you mean that you're getting more clicks on your links?

Ok, Thanks. Not sure if or why redirected links are more susceptible, though. I don't think parasites would have more respect for a "qksrv.net/click.." link than for a redirected one. Does a network link have some built-in immunity implied?

Not being argumentative here, just trying to make sense of why this is supposed to work.

So if the merchant says they allow url redirects and you put in http://www.qksrv.net/click-xxxx-xxxx?url=redirect url

do you still add the &afsrc=1 at the end or just when you use a jump program?

Let's talk real numbers. I'm currently getting 22 -25% CTR without any affiliate source = anything. What CTR % are you getting with this?

I've been assuming the other 75% of the people on my site just left without a trace.

I changed links for an un-named travel website to my new redirect links and included &afsrc=1 in the links. For the first time ever, I got 2 sales with this merchant in the same week.

Needless to say, I'm converting alot more of my links as we speak. It also makes tracking them ALOT easier too.

One stupid question. Should i add the afsrc=1 in the jump link or to the affiliate link ?
For eg, if i use jump.php?id=12345 and it redirects to qksrv.net/click-pid-aid,
should i add the code to

    1. mydomain.com/jump.php?id=12345&afsrc=1
    or
    2. qksrv.net/click-pid-aid&afsrc=1

Which of the above is correct ?

Put in in the original link that shows on the webpage. Not on the qksrv.net redirect.

I put it in my script. (so people could see). I really do not understand the point if it is on my page, and not in the actual CJ URL.

    In other words, between

    1. mydomain.com/jump.php?id=12345&afsrc=1
    or
    2. qksrv.net/click-pid-aid&afsrc=1

    I did #2.

With some merchants, it tracks all the way to the merchant's site... so the merchant URL ends up with afsrc=1 in it.... I thought that was the point of it all. If a parasite was on the merchant's site, and saw the afsrc=1 in the URL then it would not pop up its crap.

I added the afsrc=1 2 weeks ago, sales go down a bit so I removed it yesterday.

What makes parasites afraid of afsrc=1. If I am a parasite creator I will first make sure I hijack a link with afsrc=1 because it is confirmed there are high potential this tracking link could have sales because the author pay attention to it!

It doesn't make sense to me yet and I hope some gurus could explain how it works.

I think that qksrv.net is the sign you speak of M.Mc.
I like to think of the afsrc=1 as a no soliciting sign.

I don't know if it works or not. All I can say is that I have seen an improvement in click through % and sales since adding it to my links.
