This month is very lazy conceerning sales. Is it just the tax thing or what? The clicks are very high, but conversion rate is very low.

Same here all around. Record numbers of impressions and clickthroughs, but sales are sluggish.
If there are many others like me, I am kinda puckered up after writing that check to the IRS a few weeks ago.
Once school gets out and people start moving around again it should pick back up....I hope!

I hate to put negativity into the mix, but school getting out is generally NOT good for sales. It allows the buyers to take vacations instead of staying in front of their computers buying, where they belong!

Unless you have some nice summery items on the site, May will probably be the highest sales month for a while...

You're right about taxes messing with sales, though. That effect should break up in May.

Just a thought on High clicks and no sales. If everyone notices this at the same time do you think that it could be related to a particular search engine or search engines deep crawling your site and clicking on your links. (They have to follow the links to see where they lead.)

It would also account for the higher impressions.

    All the best,

Agree with DPG. MSNBOT is generating waaaaayy too many clicks from some of my sites for the past couple of days. So my EPC is tanking. There was an invalid link checker bot just a few weeks ago doing the same. Check you logs. Find out # of unique vistitor and # of clicks reported by the networks are reasonably matching or not. IMHO, network click trackers should be able to ignore clicks from known bots.

    DPG:
I do not only rely on cj tracking. But my referer tracking shows an equal amount of even highly targeted traffic: "buy XXXXX online" "shop online for XXXXXX". There must be a reason why they bought last month and do not buy this month.
