Heads up, "Due to system upgrades, the Commission Junction Account Manager will be unavailable starting at 5:00 PM Pacific Time, April 30, until May 1 at approximately 12 Noon Pacific Time.

Tracking and recording of transactions are fully functional when the site is unavailable. When the site returns your reports may be delayed for up to 24 hours. If there are any changes to this schedule we will post them to the site to keep you informed. "

Let's hope this time the upgrade doesn't screw things up again. BF is also doing maintenance at the same time GREAT! Guess we may as well take the weekend off and hope for the best when systems are up and running again.

Why do they almost always do this on Fridays? And this time, to make matters worse, they are doing it on the last day of the month. If things go bad we may not know our monthly totals until sometime next week.

"IF"????? Considering past experience, "if" sounds like a pretty positive attitude.

You guys!!! Always picking on poor CJ!!!

Yeah, I should talk, but lately CJ has been very good and I did not even notice the last upgrade occured (think it even came up early).

Well, I always try to praise CJ when they do good cause I give them enough flack when they fail, but I do have to say I think they picked the worst time to do this.

    1. They announced a bunch of new merchants today and I bet they will be ticked when they find out no one can build pages the first 24-72 hours the sites were announced, depending on how long CJ is down.

    2. All the weekend site builders will be ticked to find out they can't log on.

    3. It's the last day of the month and people are naturally wanting to log on after midnight to see what they did for the month.

    May Day, May Day.

I think May Day is a great day to plan system upgrades.

Speaking of May Day, I think it is time that the affiliate marketers of the world unite and overthrow our evil capitalist overlords.

I feel sorry for the four new merchants that were announced Friday. What poor PR for them to open their affiliate doors to us the day CJ goes down. I think CJ should warn them about things like that. And I think the merchants should be very upset with CJ.

May Day today, 5 de Mayo next Wednesday, system upgrades start today, I don't expect things get back to normal until Monday May 10 but, on the 10 is the last day for merchants to correct the sales of April, I think this month will be very slow so I made preparations to relax and enjoy the view since I know that tracking and recording of transactions will be fully functional during the next two weeks.

See Ron, no need to feel bad or worry about picking on poor CJ. This has been yet another flubbed update.

Here it is Sunday morning, and I can't get in at all.

    Yep, BIG surprise!

I got in during the middle of the night but it seems that the gremlins have woken up now...

Edit: Weirdly enough, right after I posted that I got in! But the reports are still disabled.

I can get in, there's just not much to look at. I have two sales recorded from very early yesterday morning, and nothing since. :sigh:

I thought I'd take the time to redo my Walter Drake and Home Marketplace links, but it looks as if most of the products I featured haven't been ported over to the 'new' sites yet. Easy enough to delete them. Difficult to replace them with comparable products.

It's shaping up to be a less than lovely weekend.

My 7 day EPC shows up as ZERO even though I've had sales and I've gone from 4 green bars to nothing!!! I want it back. Of course reporting isn't working yet.

"You have received this email because one or more of the advertisers you are affiliated with in the Commission Junction network has recently been temporarily deactivated."

I receive that email yesterday afternoon.

I can't check what advertiser has recently been temporarily deactivated yet so I won't be able to work on CJ pages today.

As long as the $ amount keeps on increasing the way is going I am happy, who cares when the reports come back.

This is the first time this year that I am making good money while there is an system upgrade, that confirmed to me that tracking and recording of transactions are fully functional when the site is unavailable.

CJ, take your time putting the reports back and just keep on adding $$$ to my account, I won't complain.

You can figure it out by clicking your CJ links until you are led to the CJ message informing whoever clicks the deactivated merchants CJ link, that the merchant has been deactivated.

Unless that isn't functioning during the down time too.....

    Thanks Dirk,

I found out that it was Dial-A-Clutch.com.

Just like DaPackster Sig said "Merchant Coincidences, One of the Wonders of the World"

I didn't know who it was but, I decided to work on my auto parts pages today and just by coincidence I saw that Dial-A-Clutch.com was deactivated or temporarily suspended.

    Sal.

Edited to say, they're back, it was just a temporarily deactivation.

Didn't they just do one of these a few days ago. Always makes me worried when another one follows so close. Reminds me of the Feb/Mar headache we all went through.

Here's hoping they actually do come back up when they say they will.
