Good to see the "incentive" affiliates including the BHO's taking it in the shorts for a change.

Mike, we all can be "incentive" affiliates. You actually need to generate some sales. Performance incentives

Please forgive Mike; how would he know what we are talking about as he's obviously never received one of these bonuses

Your right there. Never knew in 5 years that CJ had a performance incentive tier program...LOL. Only had one CJ merchant where I used to always do 200-300/month. That was Bonsai Boys of NY and I made the mistake of posting thta here. Never have done more then 50.00 with them since. EA converts well but mysteriously they are my only merchant who gets steady reversals on bad CCs.

Only TD and Overstock ever gave me any sales tier bonuses.(incentives) Well at least the delays penalize all the "get paid to surfers", BHOs, couponers and volume pushing e-mailers. I always treat CJ as if the network is just one showcase merchant. Even showcase pages for someone like SeaEagle http://www.ecomcity.com/webworld/seaeagle.htm have never produced a sale.

    Holy Crap Mike.

You may know a lot about BHO's, adwhores, Jewish people with MBA's, gays, witches, whores and a whole bunch of other stuff (at least in your own head), but you know nothing about web design.
You really expect to sell anything on that page? or any page?

Spend some time learning the basics, and you will sell a lot more than you do now.

The savvy shoppers want the kayak with the jumbo plasma monitor built in. They don't want to buy them separately and assemble it themselves.

Lets see is page has a good sampling of SE text fodder for inflatables and Sea Eagle products ...Yep

Let's see is there are links to and from other Cybermall category pages...Yep

Lets see if those normally seeking inflatables, all costing over the magic $1000.00 pain threshold, might like to see my SE landing page caters to those who have high limits on their Credit cards ....Yep

Who owns or buys these inflatables? Folks who own summer cabins by a lake, RV owners, people with Cabin Cruisers. Outdoor types who love camping own SUV's or those Dodge Hemi Ram trucks. Maybe they'd like a TV nifty dual purpose TV set, Bicycles or small motor cycles and non timex watches. WTF ...not everyone getting to the page automatically click through to the showcase merchant but obviously are more affluent just like those frequenting the marina shops all around my Nautical Mile neighborhood.

Hell most are probably like all the rich folks I know who do have an RV + 35+ foot Boat and often a inflatable as men toys. Jeeze many have bikes and even have kids with scooters and Grandpa/grandma on those Handicaped marina road racers to content with special ramps on their marina boat slip.

Leakage from that page at least exits to merchnats carrying the good stuff ...cheap! Hey I do things differently then the typical lazy no talent affiliate, who puts up a few text links and spamms the hell out of the SE with some $10.00 off coupon and works off blind redirects from the PPCSE's for Sea Eagle. Only thing I missed was leaving out a few cookie setting popup/unders and some blind redirects from the navigation links making sure I planted some other merchant's cookies.

Hey I'm a novice and can't think of some shortcut trick to just plop a inflatable watercraft shopper on Sea Eagles home page like the majority of their sucessful affiliates. Some one throw me a fish and link to that page who doesn't sell this product line.

I see where I should put some Alle' 14K nautical jewelry on that page and whack the plasma TV screen.

Mike, you have proved that you have no idea what you are talking about. Just because other people do things differently, it does not mean that they are a 'lazy no talent affiliate'

There are people who do know what they are doing, and are successful.

Learn from them, and get your head out of your ass

    Hi Mike,

I was asking if the meta tag 'title' is actually a valid tag. I hadn't heard of it, don't use it, I thought maybe I had missed something important!...but I don't think it is a valid tag. I've been looking at some meta tag references, and there is no mention of a meta title tag anywhere (this is different from the page <TITLE> </TITLE>. Most agree, though, that the 'robots' meta tag is useless...none of the SEs look at that tag anymore, robots.txt is much more important. As far as the meta name="title" goes, a Google Search for the text within that tag comes up null, so Ggl doesn't even see the text thats there...

    Mike,

Isn't your use of the Seaegle mark a violation of their terms? See http://abw.infopop.cc/eve/ubb.x?a=tp...34&m=544106114

Ross the extra "title" meta tag was recommended to me at one time and got inserted via MS Frontpage along with the page "title tag". The site does have a robots.txt file in the root directory

www.ecomcity.com/webworld/seaeagle.htm was a do it once page and leave it alone. The Sea Eagle AM challenged me he can produce sales if I gave him more exposure. Hey... I'm a duck for any AM who says they convert targeted traffic!

Haiko you'll have to ask John Hoge, VP, of SeaEagle.com as he was sent the URL for review and challenge to convert from that very thread. Never heard a peep back from him since. Anyone find me under any Sea Eagle brand or popular keywords in Google or Yahoo ...I've never checked??
