First off, it's a very good forum a lot to learn.
I'm a "brand-new" newbie and trying to get my feet into affiliate marketing.
I'm working to put my web site together.
My question is, does one need functional web site before can join a affiliate network like CJ. Because without a real data ( or datafeed) how can I have a functional site so I can be approved to join the network.
How did you guys started ?
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry for editing my post. I am trying to not sound mean. I always say the wrong things just not my strong point.
All you have to do is put up a web page to two. Write a short story whatever.

I too am new into affiliate marketing but have found that the best thing to do is just become a sponge and read as much as possible. There is no real "best" place to start on ABW because it's all really good, really relevant information.
Just read, read, read and learn to distinguish bias and opinion from fact.
The more you read the more it will all start to make sense, and in a while you will know which threads to go to in order to find the info you're looking for. It's even happening for me!
Hope this info is encouraging, if not useful.
