Is there any site that categorizes or briefly describes CJ merchants?

    I second that!

Good question to put on jeopardy though.

I presume it's available after you sign on? At the cj site I only see a long list of links devoid of descriptions.

I knew what you meant. You have to excuse some of the vet posters sometimes. They sometimes can't help being a smartass as it must be sort of like therapy to them or something.

What exactly are you looking for? if it's just a description, it's easy enough to go directly to the merchants site. If its what they pay in commissions etc that you're looking for....just click the sign up as an affiliate from their page.

He/She is probably looking for a way to select a category and get a list of all merchants who fit into that category.

CJ's breakdown is a bit lacking in this regard.

^^ That's what I suspected. Many of the merchants' names are ambiguous in terms of what they conceivably offer so guess I'll get crackin'...

I'm inclined to bother you with another newb question which probably isn't worthy of its own thread.

Say you have several websites, MUST you have a separate CJ account for each, or can you merge income generated from each together and receive a single check.

One CJ account; add as many sites as you wish.

Go to the "Account " tab in the CJ interface, Then the "Web Site Settings" tab, then the "Add a New Website" button.

Now when you "Get HTML" for links, you will may select which site you are using the links on, and thus are able to know which site makes a sale.

I don't know if CJ still allows it (I suspect not), but at one point merchants were allowed to add themselves to any category they wanted (as long as they payed a fee). In general, though, the category assignments on CJ are pretty good. Some merchants are kind of hard to categorize, though.
