Check out the list of most prevalent pests in the third post down. qksrv.net pests are automatically detected and removed by this program.

Does the Yahoo Anti-Spyware Toolbar block CJ and other networks too? Does it use the same list as what is referenced in the above thread?

Does it block, flag or delete affiliate network cookies? Anyone have time to test and tell us exactly how it works? Pretend you are Joe surfer and tell us what you would do with any warning messages or prompts it gives you.

FYI the list that was referenced also has BeFree and LinkShare referenced as "pests!"

It is my understanding the the Y! Toolbar does not block our links or cookies. Since Yahoo! Inc. runs several programs via CJ, I doubt they would block our cookies. We are also integrated with Yahoo! Stores and have over 100 stores running programs - again I doubt they would want to block their own and their clients' marketing efforts.

Remain calm (the sky is not falling). I will double check to be certain and update this post.

Todd, it was stated "They've partnered with Pestpatrol.com and you can look up their definitions of a "pest" on their site."

So that's why I asked. Never hurts to check and be sure. Please let us know what you find out.

As I said, it is my understanding they are not blocking our cookies. Even though they are using PestPatrol's technology, they are not necessarily using the same parameters.

    Linda,

I tested the Network cookie thing when Yahoo first released the beta version of the removal part of their toolbar (there's a post or 2 here somewhere where I reported). Yahoo toolbar does not detect or remove ANY cookies. It doen't block anything at all (except for the separate popup blocker which never worked correctly for me).

Yes, PestPatrol detects and removes Networks cookies (as does ALL the major spyware antiremoval programs). Yahoo does base their removal tool off of PestPatrols detection db, but they do not detect everything that PestPatrol does. PestPatrol detects Gator and it's my understanding that Yahoo doesn't (haven't reinstalled Gator yet just to check that one out).
