Hi, I am new to this forum and have been recently reading about 180 parasite problem. I have only checked 2 pages of my site so far and have found zango pop up ads to be popping up with northerntool.com links and gardners.com Does anyone know what I can do next about this problem? Is removal of links the only thing we can do about someone stealing our money?

    Thanks

These paid for keyword targeted theftware popups are caused by either of two perps.

    1. 180Solutions themselves are affiliates of Northerntool and Gardeners.com and are targeting the affiliate links of these merchants, the merchnats URL and all popular tool and garden supply terms. Considering Zango.nCase/180Solutions hijacks millions in commissions a month this is not unheard of..

    2. Rogue slimebag affiliates of those 2 merchants and probably hundreds of others are paying 180Solutions to pop their cookie stuffing keyword/domain targeted Ads on your site and those of all their merchants.

whoa. what you are seeing is being generated by something in your computer. start by downloading adaware from lavasoft.de and running it. you may want to use other spyware detectors also.

others here can point you to more places to look or to other techniques.

This was my next question. Do people need to download 180 software for the pop up adds to appear and if so how many people actually have it on their system?

I put it on an old computer to test my site.

The real question is "Do people CONSCIOUSLY and DELIBERATELY download 180 software..."

It would be safe to say many millions.

Yes - gripe loudly and often that the new COC is not working.

I suggest take a snapshot and copy the cookie that they set on your cookie folder and then send it to the COC department and then wait six months for that affliate to comply!

What COC stand for? Crooks Overwriting Commission
    Don't worry tracking is Infected

    Nova,
now I understand: The COC must comply. That was not clear for me.
