I just had about 50% of my July transactions with Catalog City reversed, with a reason of "Other". Is this normal, or are they screwed up ?

WOW -- you do realize catalogue city is simply an affiliate utilizing affiliate links?

If they get a reversal so do you!

SandraR, thanks for the insite, but afte5 five years off doing this I had kinda picked up on that fact.

My point, maybe not made very well, was that it seemed weird that they would do a major reversal, with out a good reason, "other", is just BS,

Noticed that too. 100% reversal for CC in July.
    Reason: "the notorious" OTHER.

Have you checked your CC product catalog links lately ? They love to switch things around. My golf club product catalog links ended up in kitchen furniture page. Found that out after a customer e-mailed me.

I'll check that - but a sale is still a sale, I would have thought. Maybe it's just time to dump them.

It appears that catalog city is in default with CJ - another one to cross off the list - the bastards.

I have never used them and never will.
They have the same things on their web site that you can put on your own web site.
I never understood why someone would use them and give them half the commission.

I can't believe ANYONE promotes CC!

They change around product links so often it's impossible to keep up with them. They're just an affiliate, you only get a cut of what they get. Go to the merchants directly and sign up with them, cut CC out of the deal. You'll get a better commission, and you don't have to spend 3 or 4 hours every week checking links to make sure they still work!

CC has known about the linking issue for years, yet they've done nothing to correct it. They just change them without any notice whatsoever. They are not a good partner. You can do better!

I use CC very selectively. Last year I spotted a product for Christmas that was carried by a couple of CC merchants but could be found nowhere else. I made a nice chunk of change from that one item, but I had to check my links every day and rotate out the merchants as it flew out the door and they couldn't keep it in stock. PIA = yes. Worth it = yes.

I don't use them on my regular sales pages though. It's too much of a hassle.

Been there, done that. Does anyone know how to do a product search and eliminate CC from the results. I just hate scrolling through page after page to find anything worthwhile promoting.

    Ernie,
    I had that problem too.
I cured it by expiring them and now I sort my results by relationship.
