Hahaha If I got one like that I would expect it to get reversed. What was it? Several big items or lots of little ones?

Let us know when you get paid your commission, okay?

    Hope it all works out.

Sure hope its not one of those 'flat rate' merchants! I once had a large (like $2.5-3.5k) sale from ZoneLabs and only got paid $10 because their terms are '$10 per sale'. argh.

    good luck!!

Congrats on the big sale, but...

Not to throw sour grapes, but I would be puking at the $100, considering that I have merchants that would pay $2,395.85 (10%) for that sale. Even 5%'s over 1k...

$100, what is that, 0.4% or so of the sale price?!

I was thinking the amount was the car value. The merchant pays a flat rate for every txn occured.

That makes more sense, now that you mention it. I suppose $100 of commish isn't too bad, for insurance on a car worth almost $24k.

Now if the *policy* cost the customer $24k, that'd be different (and also a darned expensive policy)!

That makes no sense that they would put the value of the car down as the sale amount for insurance. Sure it wasn't a car loan?

Redsand, Congrats! Not a bad comish for a lead Keep it up

I've been waiting on a couple of big sales to be reversed from my act. They happened about the same time on the same day. One sale is for 2099.00 with a comish of 542.00 and the other for 2930.00 with a comish of 732.00 I put the odds of them sticking at about 1 in 20,000 I guess on a positive note is the merchant keeps pretty up to date on reversals rather than making me wait until the 10th to see it disappear. It should be reversed any day now, umm or approved and locked any day. Will never happen but I'll hold on to hope for a bit longer hoping maybe a business stopped by my site. Anyways, congrats again

When you think about it, it's sorta' sad that we've all been "trained" that when we get anything that resembles a "good" commission, we wait patiently for it to reverse.

That is so true!! I have this one merchant who reverses most sales for items over a certain price. Whenever one of those sales come through, instead of being happy, I am unhappy because I know in the end it will be reversed.

What are you selling, cars? I don't think I have seen any products being sold from CJ merchants to rack up that kind of price tag...Sounds like a mistake or slide error.

    If not, that is wonderful.

If you don't want the competition, don't tell me about this merchant.

Hmm. A CJ merchant, insurance merchant, merchant rocks, pays $100 flat. Let me go take a look.

Just taking a moment to mention that I've never reversed ANY transactions from my affiliates, even ones that were returned or cancelled. I just allowed the affiliates to keep the money, figuring that, more often than not, a reversal is due to my fault, rather than the affiliates - so why punish them?

If I were a merchant, I might consider occassionally planting a $100 commission to an affiliate that I know frequents ABW... that $100 spent goes a long way towards recruiting new affiliates...

Of ocurse, if I were an affiliate at ABW, I might consider making the suggestion above...

    And the cirle continues...

I'd hate to rain on your parade but as far as CJ is concerned - Locked means nothing. I've had commissions reversed which were 'locked'...

However seeing it's an insurance thing and not a tangible item as such, it's not as likely to 'reverse' on you.

I've got my fingers crossed for you.
