New Parasite Alert!
    Actual Email!
    ==================

If I could make your website the ONLY website that comes up when
people search on the keyword or phrase of your choice, would you be
    interested?

    One billion times a
month internet users type a keyword or keyword phrase IN THEIR ADDRESS
BAR. Yours can be the website that comes up for all the keyword phrases
    you secure.

WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT WHAT THIS
    IS AND HOW IT WORKS?

IgetNet is a new platform that is similar but
more sophisticated than AOL Keywords. It's a navigational system
where someone enters a keyword or keyword phrase in their address bar and
it acts like a domain name and directs the searcher to one specific
    website.

If they are looking for a flower shop in New
York City, for example, they just type in "flowers New York" and
they are immediately connected to the website of a florist in New York. If
someone wants to find a corporate website they just type the corporate
name in the browser address bar and they are immediately linked to that
website. For example, "Bed Bath And Beyond".

And unlike the other search engines, anyone
who searches onyour keyword or phrase in their address bar goes
directly to YOUR website...and only your web site EXCLUSIVELY. These
are "Natural Language" searches and just like on Google or AOL,
or any other search engine, people don't need to key in any
"www" or "http" or the "dot coms".

    Your First
    Step is to go to
    http://www.keywordmediainc.com
and download the plug in (less than 2 seconds) and then enter some
keywords to your industry.. and others to see how this works... car,
pizza, chocolate, water, credit, book or those of your choice. If
it is not a secured keyword phrase it just defaults just the same was as
it does without our plugin... to MSN search results and a list of
websites. If the search phrase is already secured by a client of
ours? You get just their website.

    HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE USING
    KEYWORDS AND DOING KEYWORD SEARCHES?

One of every 17 internet searches done
every single month is in the browser address bar... a billion searches
every month. This is a huge market you can tap into,
    but the most
important part of this is not the traffic (that will grow with our
network), the most important part is to secure the keywords for yourself
now, and to keep them away from your competitors. The value of these
keywords is going to continue to increase.

THE QUALITY OF OUR NETWORK PLATFORM
IS ONLY AS GOOD AS OUR END RESULTS

This system is only as good as the destination
results so there are specific criteria that must be met. For example, this
is a pornography free search tool. NO PORNOGRAPHY.
Looking at your website suggests you would qualify as a keyword
destination. because you appear to sell nationally and could be in a
position to handle additional customers.I am now calling your
competitors as well. We are going from industry to industry to build our
platform. THESE KEYWORDS GO VERY FAST.

    HOW ABOUT SEEING A DEMONSTRATION
AND FINDING OUT WHAT KEYWORDS ARE STILL AVAILABLE?

    Go to the website http://www.keywordmediainc.com.
    Download the plug in.
It takes less than a couple seconds. We are
getting 65,000 new users every day. By the end ofOctober we will be
at 20,000,000 users. Right now it works with Internet Explorer. We
will work on AOL browser, Netscape, Macs, and Linux by the end of the year
and we will have more users than AOL (35 million) . We will
have between 40,000,000 and 50,000,000 users in the next two months, and
have a projected goal of 100,000,000 plus users
    whowill
haveinstant solutions to there searches...in addition to the
traditional search engine results. We work in 73 languages. We are
working deals with HP and Dell to include this on every single new
computer sold. New York Flowers. Pizza. Car. What
would be your keyword phrases of choice that would work best for you?

WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH THIS MIGHT
    COST?

Pricing depends on whether you want a single
lane roadway to your door or a 20 lane super-highway. For a couple hundred
dollars you can lock up a three keyword phrase and get every single
exclusive hit on those searches. In just 17 weeks there are
50,000 words already taken and no longer available. 10 percent of the
Fortune 500 is now a customer including Lexus, Pizza Hut, Home Depot, MGM,
Fox Network, American Express, Master Card, Nordstroms, Perrier, Alamo
Rent a Car, Hallmark Greeting Cards, Bed Bath and Beyond, Godiva, and
thousands of large and small companies who understand the value of what we
are offering. THEY GET THIS. We are adding 3-4 Fortune 500 companies
    as clients every sngle week.

PRICING is based on number of words in
the phrase...anykeywordphrase of three words or more...
    $250.00...
for a lease term of one year, and an option on a second
year at the same price, and you receive exclusive traffic to your website
    for a year.
    Two word phrase: $1000.
And a one word phrase: $5000.

How much do you think they will be worth in a couple months when we are at
50 million usersand bigger than AOL Keyword? How much will
they be worth in two years when you have exclusive rights to them still
when there is open bidding for them, and the platform is 100 million
users, and Natural Language Navigation is a common way of doing searches
on the internet? What words will your company own then? What might
you have to pay to get them from your competitors if you don't own them?
Send me your wish list of phrases and or give mea call. This
is important and the next coming trend of doing business on the internet.

    THE COMPETITON

AOL advertises Keyword searches and it costs
One million dollars to use a keyword on AOL advertising. Lord of the
Rings. at least One Million Bucks. We are offering exclusive rights
to these words for a couple hundred dollars per three word phrase. Did
you get your first choice for your domain name? Maybe this time you
can... if your keyword is still available.
By the end of the year
our installed base will be bigger than AOL. As the size of our
network grows... to 50 million by the end of the year... these words, when
TAKEN will be far more valuable... look at what happened with URL domain
names: ski.com purchased for $35.00 resold for $3 million. drugs.com
...purchased for $35.00 resold for $11 million.

This is the new search method of the future.
Call for more information or email your list of keywords to me today.
These keywords WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE months or weeks from now.

    Best regards,

    Tom Mullinix

I don't know how, but I think legal action needs to be taken and to get all kinds of thievery stopped. It is not going to end, day by day more and more of this stuff is surfacing. It is getting discouraging to say the least. I don't even know if we did in fact win any type of legal action that it would stop. With the talk of people operating off shore what good would laws do. With this up coming meeting I feel all we will get is lip service, money talks. I am just so depressed right now I feel whats the use in continuing with affiliate marketing. If the networks don't take a stand you will see more parasites im the making. Crap! I am just rambling now, this stuff is making me sick!

Well Haikos newly discovered parasite search bar plug-in parallels the commonnames.com crap. Made the mistake of not having my brower set to disable downloads and the damn Commonnames search form on front page installed 18 spyware/adware programs on my machine (checked with Ad-Aware). It then popped up Ads even on my own site, which has no popups.

The normal un-install left 9 rogue programs after removal and reboot. Ad-Aware got rid of those too. This one is an obvious copycat of the Commonnames program which uses alternate searh results from FindWhat/AH-Ha and other keyword sponsors. Since Realnames exited the scene these guys are probably the networks new guys on the block.

This is the known parasite IGetNet:

    http://and.doxdesk.com/parasite/IGetNet.html

under a new name. The spamming fits IGetNet's existing business methods. Disreputable companies like these love to hide under multiple names.

It's a Hosts file highjacker, essentially. It adds the IP address of their servers to the Hosts file under the names auto.search.msn.com and search.netscape.com so when you use the default built-in search in IE or Netscape you get sent to their servers, which check to see if you searched for a keyword. If so, you get redirected to their sponsors straight away, otherwise you get send back to the 'real' MSN/Netscape search engine.

    Hi

Software works only in the USA (or did when they approached us), outside the USA it calls up a ASP.NET error, we talked to these jokers a few months back, total farce and fakery...

Hmm, that sale pitch seems to have quite a bit of exaggerations. I would questions some of those figures. Smells of false advertising. Maybe it should be forwarded to the FTC for investigation.

Listen to what these BHO (browser Helper Objects) thieves do to get their theftware/Adware into unsuspecting web surfers machines to suck money from advertisers.
    ________________________________
A Comprehensive Strategy To Propagate The Plug-in For iGetNet’s Navigational Naming System

Mass E-Mail Blitz — a campaign of 5 million e-mails per day to potential users who will receive the iGetNet promotional offer with a number of premiums ranging from a free cellular phone, to long distance, to a free vacation all for just simply downloading the plug-in

Pop Traffic — The download is offered with all the guaranteed traffic that we provide free of charge to our customers. Current projected download exposure will be 100,000 downloads per day!

Customer Site Downloads — customers are offered the ability to provide the IGN plug-in for downloading from their sites to promote IGN Keywords. A large number of customers utilize this option.

Corporate Programs — Specialized programs to encourage high traffic corporate sites to offer the IGN plug-in on their sites. Corporations, which have joined this program include Staples, The Gap, WebMD mastercard, Home Depot and Bed Bath and Beyond with many more joining weekly.

Affiliate Programs — Affiliate programs have been developed for clients with high-traffic websites as well as alternative marketing companies such as voice broadcasting.

Sales Initiatives — Every customer is contacted to encourage the download upgrade and in return each receives a free IGN keyword — their phone number.

Church and Charity Groups — Free IGN keywords are offered and other online resources to churches and charity groups in return for offering the IGN plug-in on the homepage of their site.

Government Programs — IGN keywords are offered to any governmental agency in return for offering the plug-in on the home page of their website. This program will be announced within the next few weeks with a PR campaign as an announcement to the reseller channel.

Mass Media Press Exposure — A public relations campaign has begun with a continuous stream of announcements targeted at mass markets as well as specific markets such as the entertainment, technology (ISP’S), educational, publishing and retail industries.

Piggybacking existing plug-ins and downloads — Programs providing the plug-in with the most popular existing download programs on the internet such as CNet, Shareware.com and Tucows and many others.

Error Traffic — Technology has been developed whereas customers who type in incorrect domain names are made aware of the download opportunity. Over 15 million error pages are occurring daily.

Hardware Alliances — We are developing relationships with the top PC Makers who ship the Windows operating systems on all desktops, laptops and towers with the plug-in preinstalled.
    http://www.sccs.swarthmore.edu/users/04/ivan/q/IGN.html

These same tactics if used by all the others will trash millions of shoppers machines as they compete with each other for browser functions. You cannot easily un-install some of these boogers unless you know how to edit your system registry -win startup file and reinstall some Windows files that get over-written. Big PITA and they know it so they make it into a driveby hidden download to claim millions to their unethical advertisiers.

The online Ad industry is the root of all internet evils. The networks seem to be in cahoots with all of them as not one word has emerged from their CEO's lips or pens to list all the BHO adware/spyware perps who infiltrate their greedy advertising mindsets. Those merchants who endorse hidden driveby downloads like Gator, IGN -CommonNames etc etc ..should be banned from our sites for monitizing and promoting using BHO diversion tactics.. Take a look at just the few mentioned above. EVERY ONE a crappy converter of affiliate traffic.

Mike, you are right but one thing stands out...with all of these drive-by downloads and each application fighting for the browser...imagine the users experience...everybody will be sounding like Gaye and how their computers were taken over/hijacked, etc, etc....I really don't care to have a bunch of ticked off visitors coming to my sites..let alone 10 applications throwing up pop-ups and sliders when they visit my sites (remember, many users think that some of this is done by us)...

The sensible solution is for Microsoft and AOL to simply close the APIs to their browsers which will render the browser helper objects useless. I know the new AOL browsers (7+) have already done this...

Microsoft will be hard pressed to do it though because I would imagine it helps them appear to be supporting non-monopolistic practices.

Well computer industry who has to service these systems under warranty want something done now. Microsoft will have to setup a application certification program to allow BHO XML installs so only legit S/W developers who have their apps tested get installed into the IE browser. When that happens the network parasites will learn the meaning of compliance and will loose 80% of their revenue ..LOL

Thanks. What does this information tell us? Is there something in the Domain servers? Domain servers in listed order:

    NS.FEA.NET

or is there something wrong with who they registered the domain with? I am a newbie so be nice to me.

Where should the Domain servers be? How can we tell that the company is not a legit company by the domain servers? Thanks.
