    Hello Everyone,

I'm a newbie having joined a couple months back and have posted once since then. I promote a free marketing newsletter and am wondering if I should blatantly promote my services within it, or separate church and state?

What are your thoughts on this?

    Thanks much.

The key is to make the newsletter content as valuable to your subscriber base as possible.

It is fine to promote your services within this newsletter but, if your subscribers feel that the newsletter is only 1 large advertisement they will probably cancel their subscription.

Thanks David, I agree. I like to mention website updates in a 'What's New' type of venue at the end, but devote most of the content to the information.

    Thanks for your feedback.
