    Hi,

We run a small search engine at http://www.bn23.com where we recently installed phpAdsNew and added ads to the site which areadvertising different affiliates.

The problem is that we are getting almost 7,500 ad views a day, but only about 25 clicks. Is this a normal click-through rate? How could we improve the ctr?

We have tried to limit the ads to relevant categories as much as possible which helped a bit but didn't give us the amount of extra clicks we thought it would.

Do the rich-media ads generally have a higher ctr than static banners?

Any advice would be much appreciated. We would really like to start getting the search engine to start making money so it's not constantly swallowing our hosting companies profits!

    Best Regards,
    Kevin Ansfield

I have found through experience that text links ALWAYS outperform the banner links, as pretty as they may be.
