I've seen a lot of disgust for parasites in the forum, and I still don't have a clear picture of them. In simple terms, what do they do and how do they do it? Who creates them/installs them? How do I know if I'm already infected? And most of all -- how do I avoid them?
Thanks for any help.

Its quite a long discussion. In short, parasites steal from other affiliates by different ways e.g. overwritting other affiliates' cookies, pop ups or pop unders, replacing the IDs with their own etc. etc.
You can read about them more here at ABW's parasite forum.
You can check if your PC is infected by downloading and scanning your PC with Microsoft AntiSpyware.<DT>"The best measure of a man's honesty isn't his income tax return.<DT>It's the zero adjust on his bathroom scale."
