    i managed to learn a lot from reading and copying webmerge codes from this forum. i searched help on this issues but no luck. so heres the questions.

    1. i am using "serialized names starting with #" and creating thumnails w max of 5. can i setup WM to create an index.htm instead of index0001.html?
    i am manually putting it a folder anyway.

    2. i managed to link an image in details pages but from index to details? is it possible? i tried various means, (or at least most of what i know) and always either the graphics is not hyperlinked or i am seeing errors.

    3. this tag is located on the index page, how do i apply a css class to this link?
    [WM-Field: short_DESCRIPTION]

    i tried:

    <a href="[WM-Field: weblink raw]" class="bold-red">

    no luck.

    any help is much appreciated. thanks in advance.

    If you need serialization, WebMerge must number the pages so each has a unique name.

    If you don't need serialization, choose "Create one index page" instead.

    Yes, it's possible. Please post the HTML you're using and we'll see how it can be changed to work successfully.

    i tried:

    &lt;a href="[WM-Field: weblink raw]" class="bold-red"&gt;
    <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

    From the WebMerge Help page on the WM-Field tag:

    Using the nolink attribute
    When used in an index template, by default WebMerge generates all WM-Field tags as links to the corresponding detail page. The optional nolink attribute is used in index pages to tell WebMerge to write the tag without linking it to that detail page. If used in a detail page template, the nolink attribute is ignored.
