    Hi
I want to create some pages using the "Generated File Names" using a base name and serialized numbers.

Is there a way to have fewer than 4 digits?

The files I am generating need to be called buy_01.html rather than buy_0001.html

    BTW: Fantastic Product :-)

    thanks

I don't think that there is a way to adjust the number of zeros, but I will naturally defer to Richard to have the last word.

Does this mean that you have less than 100 product webpages to create? If the data set relatively small, and if you reallly want/need to use the format "buy_01.html" then you can do this by creating a new field in your datafeed (using Excel?), and then select that filed within WM to generate the filenames.

There are also several shortcuts within Excel that you could use to quickly create that field.

    Thank you.

Control over the number of serialized digits will be part of the sweeping changes for even greater naming flexibility in v2.4.

That version will be another free upgrade, so those saving money with WebMerge now will get it for free. In fact, it's likely the price will go up for v2.4, so getting v2.3 now will lock you in for the free 2.4 upgrade at a healthy savings.

If I can succeed in encouraging people to send bug reports to me I can release it soon after. I was going to release it last week but got a new report, and this morning I read another here that had never been sent in.
