I have a html table that I would like to use in a field for importation in to pages thru WM.

So I created the table in FP, and then I want to paste it into a cell in Excel. But it ends up pasting itself spread across multple cells, and not just one, which totally screws up my plans!

Anyone have an idea how this can be fixed?

It sounds like like FrontPage is indenting elements with tabs, which Excel will treat as different cells. Can you use Access instead of Excel? Or better yet, why not put the table directly in your template?
