I use "first char in the Field changes:" to divide my indexes up alphabetically. This works fine except with numbers.

Is there any way to have all results starting with a digit display on one index (rather than 10) or is the only way to create another field which just contains either a single letter (a,f,g etc.) or a digit to represent all of the numbers?

    Hope this makes sense!

Sorry about the double post. It appears the software was acting up when I made it.

I think that you will have to use your second method, i.e. "create another field which just contains either a single letter (a,f,g etc.) or a digit to represent all of the numbers."

Just goes to prove that no matter how long or how extensively I've used WebMerge that somebody will make a comment and provide another clue to the intracasies(sp?) that WebMerge can be used. I not once thought of using the 'First Char' thing to create pages based on alphanumeric sequence!

I was ripping my hair out trying to figure out on index page with label tags I was getting some duplictaes
Got it figured out and working only after I resorted the fields alphabetically in the data feed.
Only after comparing both feeds from same merchant one feed worked and one wouldn't The only difference was the sort. Figure that one out.

Thought the latter would be the answer.

Just need to figure out how to do the SQL for it now!

Working too hard. What might I add to WM to make that easier for you?

    Richard, you're a gentleman and a scholar.

Not sure how you would implement that in WebMerge! I guess that more options to index alphanumerically would be the answer. The option to index fields starting with 0 through to 9 on one page would be a very useful plug-in.
