Why in the world would webmerge alter my templates?

It is dropping borders and adjusting the # of rows of my main table.

These are changes to my template that have nothing to do with the webmerge code. It makes these alterations to my 1st and 2nd templates but leaves the third and product templates alone. Even though the HTML is all the same from template to template. The only difference is the webmerge code in the main page body.

Like I said it is altering html outside any webmerge code.

Here is a product page that works the way I want it.

    http://catskiingbc.com/Black-Diamond-Bod-Harness.html

Here is what it does to the first and second level pages

    http://catskiingbc.com/Harnesses.html

The right hand column has no border and the bottom row gets ignored.

Why on Earth would it do this??

A number of WebMergers have encountered problems in formatting when using the WM Record creation tag,e.g., [WM-RECORD cols=3 width=500].

Your problem does not sound exactly like the problemm that I encountered, but if you are using WM to create a table (and it looks like you are) you have nothing to lose to see if this might help.

The work-around solution was to add an extra set of HTML codes in the template to close the table. In other words, the codes for closing the parent table become

instead of just

. It's not pretty, but it solved the problem for me.

I tried doubling up the code like you suggested but had no luck.

This is really bugging me. I have analysed the html for the templates that work and those that don't..... all are the same.

It seems to be only affecting the html after the main webmerge code. Everything before it remains intact.

    I am stumped!

I got it. I wasn't added the second closing tags to the right table.

You certainly are right about it not being pretty but it works.

Thats a bit flaky on webmerges part but oh well.

Given the hundreds of people generating tables without issue, I don't think it's that simple for all cases.

I'm glad it worked out in this case, but I'd be more interested in being able to reproduce the bug here so I could address it directly.

Given the range of variables at play, what I'd need is the template, a <200k section of the source export file, and of course the settings file so I can make sure what I'm running is the same as what you are.

All reproducible bugs to date have been addressed, as they are with each release. Helping me reproduce an issue you encounter is necessary for me to be able to resolve it.]
