Just when I think I've got it for now-how do I get this one set up in columns?

    name|description|itemid|buyurl|imageurl|price|category|manufacturer|manufacturerid

I need a class for excel I think, Webmerge is a snap when I get my feed figured out

I have found that if you simply doubleclick the file name using Windows explorer, it imports the feed without activating the importation wizard.

So here is what I find that I have to do:

From within Excel use the "File, Open" command to access the datafeed.

As it opens the file it should prompt you with an importation "wizard". Tell Excel that this is a "delmited" feed, then go to the next screen and indicate that the delimiter is "other" and put a "|" character in that box. Proceed with the importattion.

The above may vary with your version of Excel.

If that doesn't work you could also use the Excel "text to columns" tool to separate the imported feed using the "|" as the delimiter for separation.

It's on the same key as the backslash (\).

On my current keyboard, the key is right over the Enter key. But on my old ones, I think it was between the Question Mark and the Shift keys. In both cases it required hitting Shift to get it.

And on this keyboard, it's shown as a broken line instead of a solid one. But when I type it, it comes out the way it belongs.

Not knowing what your exact keyboard layout is, I can only say that if it's not in one of those places it's still most likely somewhere on the right...

Aha! ty, getting closer, now it's putting 3 fields in one column.

*sigh* I wish I learned as fast as I did in elementary school!
