Hi - I'm reposting this as a new question to save you experts some time . . here is my problem:

I'm trying to use a table with rows and columns - but I'm also using an IF statement.

Any Idea why this wouldn't work? When I use it - I get one LONG COLUMN of products rather than three columns.

    [WM-RECORD cols=3 width=800]

    [WM-If: Field: Keywords .cn. travel]

>> BUY NOW <<

    [/WM-If]

    [/WM-Record]

My guess would be the <TABLE...> tag that's in there. Since there is only one

combo, it only creates one cell instead of the desired three and puts all of the information in that one cell. Basically, it is forgetting about the Webmerge tag for a table.

    Hi. Thanks for your help.

I tried taking out the HTML tables and used code below.

Unfortunately, I get dozens of blank table rows until Webmerge finds a row with Kids in it.

Any other way to do a Table formatted "If" statement??

    [WM-RECORD cols=2 width=800]
    [WM-If: Field: Primary_Category .cn. KIDS]

>> BUY NOW << [/WM-If] [/WM-Record]

There are times when you should try repositioning your tags if it doesn't go the way you want the first (few) time(s).

Below, I've moved your IF statement outside the WM-RECORD tag, so that when you run it, it will only make the table IF the category contains KIDS.

It may or may not do exactly what you want, but keep moving the tags around if it doesn't.

>> BUY NOW << < [/WM-Record][/WM-If]

I feel your pain. I have the same problem and for the life of me I can't work it out.

Must not be possible as I emailed WebMerge Support directly and they did not reply.

Seems like it would be a great feature for future releases. In addition to an If statement that could have two conditions . . . e.g. Field contains hearts AND flowers.

I'd pay for an upgrade with these features.

The absence of a reply does not imply an answer, it more likely means I just didn't get the message.

I just double-checked my in-box and couldn't find an email from you, so please re-send and I'll keep an eye out for it.

    Agreed.

One solution may be something already in development for v3.0, a query engine which would let you specify a subset of records to process for an index page based on any number of criteria.

Would that solve it for you?

I'll take you up on that. Multiple IF criteria is in development for v3.0.
