Hello !
I have noticed that if field names have accents, they will not be recognised.
For example a field named "Théorie" will yield this error message:
Error processing record 1:
(Field named in Detail template not found in source data: 'Catégorie')

Bug or misuse ?
Thanks in advance

WebMerge itself shouldn't be modifying that text -- there doesn't appear to be anything in its code that parses field names which would allow it to do that.

Since the field is named "Théorie" and the error message refers to a field named "Catégorie", they do not appear to be related. Is there a field named "Catégorie" in your database?

Also, in your template is the field named with the accented character or has your HTML editor converted it into a character entity? Some HTML editors require that you work in source mode in order to paste text without having it modified to entities.

Hello !
Yes sorry there is also a field named "Catégorie"...

You were right, my html editor was writing "Cat*eacute;gorie" instead of "Catégorie" so I changed that. But it still does the same thing... here is my DetailTemplate.html.
Maybe I have to change the charset ??

Another question. I've got some bold text and underlined text in my filemaker database. I assume there is no way to keep this formatting or is it ?

Thanks for your support !

The field name problem or the bold problem?

If you're referring to the field name problem, I thought that was fixed, no? I'd be interested in learning more about it if the fix isn't as simple as we covered above.

If you're referring to the challenge of exporting styled text from FileMaker, I'm not familiar with all of the changes in the current version but older versions could only export as plain text, without styles. If newer versions of FMP allow you to export a field's styled text as HTML, you can use the "raw" attribute in the WM-Field tag to tell WebMerge that the data is already HTML and to copy it without modification into your template.

Please send me a small (<200k) portion of your export file so I can diagnose the problem here.

Thanks in advance -
