    Hello all,

I am a new user of WebMerge and just want to say this is some great software!

Anway, I am a little rusty on HTML and I have what I think is a simple question.

I am using WM-IndexLabel function on my index page, which I am using to build the list of links to subcategory pages from the datafeed I am using. This is working correctly and will list each page that webmerge makes.

    [WM-Record] [WM-IndexLabel: SUB-CATEGORY]
    [WM-Field: SUB-CATEGORY]
    [/WM-IndexLabel] [/WM-Record]

However, some of my categories have up 20 subcategories, so I would like to create this list in a 2 column table, rather than having a long list. I would fill the table top-left column, then top-right column and so on. I've done this before with data, but I am drawing a blank today.

    Thanks,

    Rob

You can do it going across in two columns with the "cols" attribute for the WM-Record tag -- see the Help page for that tag for details.

I have a number of requests for building columns in the top-to-bottom order you describe, but it's a tough task since HTML is row-based not column-based. It's not impossible, but it will be some months before I can complete the implementation of that option.
