All,

I have just gotten off the phone with Stephen Messer and have great news!

Steven and Todd at CJ (separately) are working with Buyersport to change their business model!

Although they [Buyersport] will act like an ebates type offering, they will NOT be parasites anymore! Under the watchful eyes and tutelage of LS & CJ they will be offering a non predatory offering to all.

WTG LS, WTG CJ, WTG ABW MEMBERS!

    Haiko

I hope this means NancyL is fired and eBates rather than EcomCity.com gets some competition.

Great job everyone...and what was those morph guys were saying about ABW. Whats funny is some of these companies come up with excellent ideas...they just decide to become parasites out of greed. Gator would be an excellent application with the exception that it defaces our sites and takes our commissions... Drop that one little thing.....

Haiko, CJ, LS, Merchants, Affiliates, basically everyone who (as our President would say) fought the "forces of darkness" - great job. As long as the follow through takes place on these issues, this shows that publicizing and actively taking down illegal, unethical, or cheating business practices pays off, and in the long-run (which IS important, despite what the stock market might show us at times) everyone including affiliates, merchants, networks, customers and internet commerce as a whole (thus, our beloved U.S.) WILL benefit from keeping people and companies like this from ripping off unsuspecting people. Just like the old penny stock brokers, these people will be taken down, as their methods are clearly wrong.

On another note, PC World had a write up on freeware and shareware this month, and one of the big CONs of downloading are the pieces of software, spyware, parasiteware, etc that are bundled with someone else's program that can reak havoc on your system and your personal information. Good to see that even non-affiliate individuals have their own problems with this concept, and with these types of "viruses".

Now maybe Norton or McAfee anti-virus programs will build in detect and remove adwarez/spyware/ and trojan horse backdoor apps to their virus scanning S/W to keep the copycats at bay.

    All,

MorphBuster(TM) has been approved by Download.com and should show up shortly. I placed it in the exact same category as Morpheus so basically every time someone either searches or trees down to the category where they are ... we'll be listed Mwahahahahaha!!!
