Now that we're all done bashing those fly-by-nite Halloween merchants, must be time to move onto the Letter from Santa merchants.

    Oh... Santa Mail for example...

For the first time ever, I decided to feature a PRODUCT on my home page. Hey! It's a letter from Santa. Anyone visiting my gift sites is probably interested.

    Zillion of hits... no sales.

    Maybe they batch process... no.

    Let's do a test sale...

    1. There is absolutely no order confirmation, no order number, just a vague Thank You.

    2. No email order confirmation

    3. The order didn't track - what a shock there!

    4. Spent three days wondering if I placed an order or not

    5. It finally appears on my credit card bill - as JJ Kent - the Italian Charm Bracelet merchant

    6. I contact the AM. Did he respond? No! Where's his incentive to respond? He's only in business for a few weeks!!

    7. Maybe the chargeback he'll have to respond to will get his attention.

I've never tried those letter by Santa merchants. Think i just might make one of those type of sites, get my gf into this She likes the pretty stationery, envelope, christmassy type of stuff. Or maybe an add on to my shopping site next year.

Billy you've probably been a naughty boy this year so Santa just threw your letter away and is using your commission for some other worthy affiliate (like me). Looks like even Santa is a scam artist these days

There was a CJ mail from them today that said "Only two weeks left - see everyone next year"

Geez, they're even more temporary then the Halloween people!!

Guess it gives the phrase "take the money and run" a whole new meaning. Wonder how many other affiliates they've ripped off. At least they said "thank you" after you placed the order.

well, I certainly noticed the flood of "join us" emails during the past week. I really wonder how long they'll stay with an affiliate when the rush is over.

This is a great way for someone to get great cash flow. You sign up thru a "Trusted Third Party" and pay $250.00 and along with this intice hundreds of affiliate's to go to work and promote you. With no intention of paying any commission you generate thousands of sales,"FREE". Now that is pretty cheap advertising as I see it.
Does anyone know the defination of "Trusted Third Party". Who are they accountable to?

Sorry to be the wet blanket here, but we've made a handful of sales with Santa Mail on a relatively limited number of hits.
