I cannot return from Shareasale merchants websites to the web page on which I have their banner located. My pages have 2 or more banners and I want folks to be able to return to them if they find nothing of interest with each merchant.
Do all Shareasale merchants "lock" you in?
Other than dropping all of my Shareasale merchants what can be done to correct this?

When a person clicks your link to go to a ShareASale merchant, they're first taken to a page on ShareASale.com where the tracking code is placed. Then it uses a script to redirect you to the merchant's site.

The problem with this is that when you go to the merchant's site and try to click back to yours, you're really just going back to the page on ShareASale which then redirects you back to the merchant.

For now, the best thing you can do to fix this is probably to have ShareASale merchant pages open in new windows. -Not my first choice, but it beats "dropping all my ShareASale merchants".

    Muffin,

    a href="http://shareasale link" target="_blank"

Brackets edited out so it wouldn't be an actual link.

Your image tag for the banner doesn't change.

Here is an actual code. Please show me how
    to alter it:

    x target="_new" href=http://www.shareasale.com/m-redirect.cfm?bannerID=5349&userID=9044&merchantID=1846&urllink=&afftrack=x

    Where do I place:
    a href="http://shareasale link" target="_blank"
    Thanks

    Muffin,

The target="_new" tag already makes the link open in a new window.
