    Brian,

I have been meaning to report this for a month or so but never got around to it, but, as a merchant, when I do an approval from your email form, I get a diagnostic error message. It says the affiliate is approved, which it is, but then there is a large error message on the rest of the web page that says

    Error Occurred While Processing Request
    Error Diagnostic Information

An error occurred while evaluating the expression:

    #URL.userID#

Error near line 44, column 41.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Error resolving parameter URL.USERID

The specified URL parameter cannot be found. This problem is very likely due to the fact that you have misspelled the parameter name.

The error occurred while processing an element with a general identifier of (#URL.userID#), occupying document position (44:40) to (44:51) in the template file C:\********cfm.

    Remote Address: ***.***.**.**

Please inform the site administrator that this error has occurred (be sure to include the contents of this page in your message to the administrator).

    Amy,

We are changing the way that works because of the error, which occurs for some, probably about 10% of merchants.... has to do with email software and how HTML is posted to forms, blah blah technical garble... you can continue to use the "regular old" way of approving the affiliates...while i am working out this error...

btw, can I get a moderator to remove the "sensitive" parts of the above post...the IP addresses, the document information etc in the error message... shouldn't really be public to all, and with the new site here at ABW i seem to have lost my ability to edit/delete posts.. I'v been getting the same message Amy. I'm getting sick of it. It's been going on for over a month. I have dozens of new affiliates on Pending mode and I can't approve them? am I missing something? how can my affiliate program be reliable if new affiliates can't promote my site? Brian could you give me an alternative to accept affiliates until this is fixed? I'm getting a lot of Affiliates emailing me about the status of there submission.

Jason (and all merchants with that error)

You can still use the "old" process of visiting the "Affiliate Management" section of the website and approving/declining affiliates who have applied...

--TH Media-- Yes, thank you for editing that post...

In addition, despite the weird error message on the email approval, the approval still works via this method.
