    Hi

How's sales at shareasale? Any idea how many clicks are needed to see a sale?

Darberg stores 435 clicks 0 sales
Pierced body 105 clicks 0 sales
    Kiyonna 130 clicks 0 sales.

My links were up for between 1 day to 1 week. Wonder if they batch the sales or something.

    How about you guys?

    Regards
    Janice

Reply: Nothing here yet, but based on your stats I would drop Darberg stores, and I would wait till you get at least 300 clicks on Pierced body 105 clicks 0 sales
Kiyonna 130 clicks 0 sales before you decide to drop them.

PiercedBody seems to be converting ok for a body jewelry merchant so far.

    Janice,

I was just wondering if you use a pop-up for any of the merchants. Those are counted as click throughs whether or not a visitor clicks on the page as far as I can tell. So if a merchants page is popping up its added to the total clickthroughs.

In away it hurts the merchants EPC. Something Brian might want to adjust and try to get it so that if a page pops up it would only be counted as a clickthrough if the visitor actually clicks on the page. JMO of course!

    Hi

I don't use pop ups. Guess Dalberg doesn't convert well.

Thanks for your advice. I'll put them in less popular places then and see how they go before dropping them completely.

for the month of january, and these are raw numbers, so they should be taken as such taking into account the possibility for "useless" hits coming from other affiliates besides yourselves of course.

dalberg is clipping at about 1 sale for 400 clicks...

i am sure they would like to improve on this...but like i said, they are also very raw numbers...one guy in here is selling at about 1 in 50 clicks which i would take and run...

avg. commission however...is about $18 - so thats not too bad..

    Thanks,

One thing Packy brought up, which should be stressed, is that the popups skew the sales-to-clicks ratio A LOT.

It may be better not to even consider that ratio when deciding on whether to use a merchant. Use the old stanbys: Good Selection? Good Prices? Site easy enough for the average Joe to navigate and complete a purchase?

If yes to all, give it a try and give it time and traffic.
