Hello, I am new here!and would like to set up my
merchants account to sell my software program.
However before I commit myself to shareasale, I would likt to know how it works.
As I am currently with a regsoft which is a software agent who only works as credit card processor. If I set up my affiliate program at shareasale, and still use regosft to process my orders, how can I ensure that my affiliate will get paid for their effort through shareasales?
I know from shareasale web site that
"You place a small piece of code on the receipt page of your website, which will serve as the trigger to shareasale.com that a sale has been made."
But what does a receipt page mean? How do you know the trigger when the user are using another system to pay the order?

We have worked with regsoft before...
The receipt page is the page right after a person submits payment..and typically says "Thanks for your order" ,etc...
As for knowing when the trigger is an affiliate sale, and when it isn't...we figured that out a while ago, which enables us to stay in business.
