    Definitely slowing down my progress!

Must be that CJ broke it to keep me trapped with their merchants on my pages!

It is an evil, evil plot, I tell ya. They will have NO redemption!

Wow.. it really must be major.

Brian, when you get it fixed and if you have some time to tell us what went wrong, that would be great.

Hello all, my first post here.

It's 8:20pm my time, does anyone have any idea when SAS will be going live again - I have broken links all over my site and I am currently in the middle of a deep crawl from googlebot

Still working on it over here...I apologize, and I know how annoying and costly it is for everyone. We will be working on it full time until it is resolved obviously, and details will be made available once we have all the info and resolutions.

Well, we are getting there....right now I am making sure that we get everything perfectly in place as opposed to making a quick fix that presents further trouble.

I really appreciate everyone's support on this. I have received a couple of angry emails, which is to be expected, and I completly understand. However, to receive an equal number or emails and messages with support and understanding, has really helped combat the frustration and lack of sleep over here.

Thanks to all. We'll be back shortly.

The links are appearing, but when the link is clicked on I get the following error:
    quote:
    Error Occurred While Processing Request
    Error Diagnostic Information
ODBC Error Code = IM002 (Data source not found and no default driver specified)

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source 'SHAREASALE2' not found and no default driver specified

Hint: In order to use ODBC data sources with Cold Fusion you must create the data source using the Data Sources page of the Cold Fusion Administrator. In addition, if you are running under Windows NT you must make sure that the Data Source is created as a System DSN in order for it to be available to ColdFusion.

note; I have removed the personaly identifible information. Hope this helps.

Ok...here is the scoop at this time.

Bottom line, we are looking at sometime later this afternoon/evening to have everything back up.

Sale and Lead transactions, since sometime this morning, are tracking for PAST clicks. New clicks are not working, although i am trying to get them up faster than the above timeframe, so that linking/tracking are up before the logging in/stats/general ops of the site....but i don't know for sure if i will be able to get that up.

Sale and lead transactions from about noon yesterday until this morning were lost, I apologize to bring you this news, but I assume that most of you figured as much anyhow.

While the folks are working on restoration, etc...I am beginning to look into the problems that occured, and how I can prevent them from happening again...initial estimations look like a virus that got at the ops server and database server....thereby corrupting the OS of both...and causing this major problem. perhaps i have a hacker enemy out there somewhere... :0 hopefully not on ABW.

    Thanks,

Some links have been restored....and tracking for those links will work, although it will be delayed as the databases are being restored currently.

If you are a merchant, or an affiliate - and your specific link is not working....please email me with the info...i.e., the merchantID that you are promoting, and the url of the website that you are trying to get it to go to. This info will allow me to band-aid fix the link until the databases are ready for action.

shareasale@shareasale.com is the email for this contact.

MERCHANTS: email me your merchantID and url, and I will have all your links band-aided....unfortunately, as the databases are in cognito right now, i have to add these manually, and am doing so mainly from memory in my head, which is slowly slipping away as the day goes.

    Thanks,

    Drewbert,

I remember reading not too long ago that Dell runs their site using a good deal of MS products. It can be done.

I'm not saying that this doesn't stink though...

I bet that Shareasale will have a much more secure and stable system in place because of all this.

Something like 10PM central....looks like at this time, we are going to have to shoot for a Noon central time target. the guys say they need about 4 more hours, and will be back on it again around 8cst.

In the meantime, merchants and affiliates - please let me know if there are links that are not working. I have band-aided quite a few, and they will all track ok.

transactions that had clicks prior to the downtime, will track for all merchants.

    Thanks,
