Okie-dokie, time to toss a little money out the window, and see where it lands............

Here is a little contest to help encourage affiliates to work on their positioning for specific keywords.

    - - - - - -
$100 for every affiliate that gains a top 10 ranking for each of these keywords by the end of October in google:

    tarps
    baseball field covers
    field covers

That is, an affiliate could earn an additional $300 for getting placed somewhere in the top 10 of each of these terms.

Only one bonus per affiliate per term, I'm trying to spread the money out.
    - - - - -

There will be an additional contest covering other keywords later in the year, so stay tuned!

    Thanks,

    -Tom Rice

I am already number 8 on one of those terms, do I get the bonus now?
I have sent 201 visitors to your site, so far no sales. What is your conversion rate normally like?

The bonus will be based on positioning at the end of October, but I will keep you in mind on the off chance that 10 affiliates squeeze you out ( I don't see that happening ).

Conversion rate is good for some not good for others. My update to the site, which I am tweaking right now, will flesh out product lines to help close better. With the Fall season, when everyone realizes their 'stuff' needs to be covered, will hopefully generate some sales for you.

One last thing, I will also be announcing, soon, a bonus for traffic sent during the first half of the year.

I will do more to try and get the other keywords, and also get higher for the one I am already listed for.

Are you just thinking of Google?

Elbowcreek can your site accept major credit cards now? Last time i checked it didn't. I think i can get some sales if it did, hopefully. Just checked, i think that might be the thing holding sales back. I've used PayPal with no problem but some people don't like it and some don't want to sign up for anything just to purchase something.

I have to agree with Trust. Alot of people aren't aware of who or what PayPal is and are skeptical about giving the info to them. Plus I think in order to go over a $2000,00 limit with PayPal you have to give your checking acnt out which is something I personaly won't do (don't want them to steal my millions, I can dream can't I ) I bet a credit card system would increase sales by as much as 500% if not more. Im sure it is quite an added expense but something that might be worth considering to get the sales from the shoppers who have the credit card in hand ready to make that purchase. JMO of course.

Either way, count me in the contest. Sounds like a fun challenge

This is a good way for you to increase the number of affiliates promoting your company. It is also a great way for us affiliates to really test our SEO techniques out.
I got the number 8 purely as an accident, with no tweaking. I wonder how far up I can get if I really try

I agree about PayPal, I've also had two comments from customers, so even people who bought through PayPal didn't always appreciate the experiance. I get the message!!!!
