What is it with Shareasale merchants? I have not been opening my links in new windows, and if a customer hits the back button they can't get back to my site. Most consumers are not that savy to figure how to do it. And it also violates google adsense.

As a merchant (and a SAS newbie), I would like to understand this as well... this has already been pointed out by at least on of our affiliates, and it does seem to occur with all of the SAS merchants links.

Actually, the back button will work if it is double-clicked (hitting the back button once sends the user back to the SAS re-direct URL; clicking it twice causes it to by-pass the SAS re-direct URL), but as Cazzie says, most consumers are not going to be as savy or as patient to figure out how to do this. As also mentioned, the only alternative is to open the links in a new window.
As a user/consumer, I am always frustrated when clicking the back button does nothing. As a user/consumer, I also turn this frustration towards the merchant site. As a merchant, I want to prevent this frustration from occuring with anyone who visits our site and allow our affiliate sites to re-gain their visitor.

Is there any way to allow the back button to bypass the SAS re-direct URL? Using the Back Button on CJ affiliate links seems to do this OK.
Is there anything the merchants can do or is this stictly a SAS thing?
