    Hi

One of my transaction (sale commission $60) was voided due to..

"VOIDED i clicked, and took order over phone Sale"

According to the "Affiliate Agreement", Merchant agrees to pay for Visitors referred to the Merchant's Web site that results in a sale of a product or service. There are no agreement stating that the sale can't be made via phone order.

Why was my sale commission voided? Could you please verify this issue?

    Thanks in advance!

The merchant took the order over the phone and placed the order on their own website... this took place after they had visited your site and had clicked through your link. This is not uncommon for merchants to do - as they occasionally visit their affiliate's sites to see how they are being promoted, etc.... and if they click through they may inadvertantly cause a transaction.

Contact the merchant if you need further clarification.

    Hi Brian,

    Thanks for the explanation!

However I received another voided sale commission from the same merchant today.

"VOIDED took order over phone, and had cookie on comp."

I did contact the merchant and they gave me the same explanation.

    My questions are:

    1) Are there any way to prevent this type of "error" from happenning again?

    2) How do I know which sale was generate from my affiliate link and which one was an error due to the "cookie stored on merchant PC"?

    Thanks for your time.

    1) There are often valid reasons for a merchant wanting to see a transaction tracked when they place it themseleves.. i.e., testing - or crediting an affiliate on a sale... so No - there are no plans to block sales via Merchant's IP or something similar.

    2) The merchant gets notification immediately on a sale if they choose - they know which sales are the ones that they post themselves.

We do offer merchants a tool to remove tracking from their computers, as the situation does come up a fair bit when merchant's accidentally click/credit an affiliate for a non-referred sale.

    Thanks,
