    seems lot of the forums are answered by the merchants themselves. that is just so cool
    gives more motivation to advertise for them)

    It's a good model for operating in the open. Affilates and their merchants in a 1:1 dialogue. In all reality, affiliates take all the risks in relationship, much like the PI (per inquiry) method of advertising in the traditional world.

    I used to be an affiliate myself! I know what it's like! I take all suggestions seriously. One person, didn't want me to have my phone number up because of fear of losing sales by telephone. I contacted my programmer and now have all affiliate ID's appear by my number. All transactions are tracked.

    I just launched this weekend, and one person didn't like the look of my page. I already though it needed work, so it was redesigned in a day.

    These forums I believe is what makes merchants progress!

    That's how it should be, specially to help promote the merchant. No one is kidding anybody when the merchants are here posting, but it also helps the affiliate feel confident that the merchant is always around for questions to help the affiliates.
