Hi there, I trying to choose between Shareasale and Clickxchange from a merchant's point of view.

Does anybody out there know how many affiliates these 2 networks have?

    thanks!

I think maybe the people in charge of those 2 networks would know. You should start a poll and ask the affiliates here if they're more likely to sign up with you with Clickxchange or SAS. I would vote SAS.

I agree and would highly suggest getting your products into the SAS page maker!

Yeah who cares when making a business choice like that, instead just wildly choose. Who cares if the demographic of both don't overlap, or do over lap, who cares!

Who cares? Seriously, why even post?

I am sure you can ask brian as he runs both.

SAS by far if choosing between the two.

You should look at what the bottom line (costs associated with having your company on a network) would be versus purchasing your own software program ($3,000 or less)and hiring a talented person to manage it. In the long run I think option #2 might be more cost effective.

Consider what your goals are (total $$ in sales)and then figure out how much of that would go to a network and to affiliates. Then you would have a better idea as to what option is more attractive to your company.

Personally, I can tell you that I generate more sales from independent merchants (that do not belong to a network) that from merchants in them.

Finally, you will most likely receive feedback from many people about the good and not so good things about each network, and at the end, you will end up having to make a decision based on what is best for your company.

SAS has been a great bang for my buck. To a point, though, it's not quantity of affiliates as much as it is quality. And personally, I've found that many of my producing affiliates were ABWers who joined my program because I was active here, rather than because of where my program was located.

To correct an above post... we do not operate ClickXChange....

    We operate Shareasale and Fineclicks.

PopGoPop - If you have questions about either of our properties, please contact us directly and we'll be happy to answer your questions. (shareasale@shareasale.com)

Gil0713 - I have to disagree with the thought that buying software and hiring somebody can be a more cost effective solution. Our pricing is a simple 20% transaction fee on affiliate commissions and quite frankly I think it would be extremely difficult to do everything that we do for merchants, at a net cost of less than 20%.... That being said, independant programs do have advantages and you are correct to point out that any new merchant should look at all options, alternatives and find out which plusses and minuses are more important to them.
