Yes it's a fact, the papers never lie

    quote:
The biggest affiliate network, Shareasale, however, did remove 180Solutions from its network and has taken steps to stop 180 advertisers from receiving Sharesale commissions. "What we did see was a software application that generated as many click thrus as it could," CEO Brian Littletold told The Register. "With this type of approach you would expect to see conversion rates that are extremely low, not worthwile for a merchant anyway."

    quote:
Littletold says that earlier this year his company ran into a problem where affiliates were being approached by 180Solutions to place ads in their software. "We saw this basically as a way for 180Solutions to get around the fact that we didn't want them in our network. Although we still receive several applications per week from them, each is declined."

    Cheers

Leave the Little old fellow alone, he's done well to build Shareasale to what it is now.
One day parasites and their ilk will be made illegal, I bet a few Lawyers will be pissed off when the day comes.

Whatever the inaccuracies in the story, ShareASale is biggest in my esteem.

It takes people of little moral fiber to welcome parasites into the fold and defend them at every opportunity. I don't want to mention any names...

    Hmmm...

Well, in case anyone had any doubts... No, we did not report ourselves as the "biggest". I'm not really sure where that came from, but I am sure they will correct it.

Some other things could use to be corrected as well.
    Thanks,

Its all depends on how you define the term network. Should a network thats supposed to be ethical, fair, honorable and a trusted third party but allows parasites to rob their affiliate as well as their merchant base for a percent of the loot even be considered as a "real" network? If not, then Share A Sale is the largest "honorable", "ethical" and "real" network, so no correction is needed!

No one considers a bank robber to be a banker but yet hes still in the banking business. How can a trusted third party network be a trusted third party network unless they are trusted and operate an ethical, fair to all, network instead of a gambling site.

The truth has a way of surfacing when you least expect it. Way to go Brian!

    Brian,

    Great stuff...free publicity too.

The Professor says you should milk it for all it's worth and call yourself the:

"The Only REAL Affiliate Network On The Net."

    Keep up the good work.

Yea Brian! Any publicity is good publicity, even when they spell your name wrong.

What should I bring to the party???

I love ShareASale, and I'm glad they're getting the recognition they deserve for their efforts to promote honesty.

I picked ShareASale for my affiliate program based on two reasons. It looked fair and reasonable for a new affiliate program, and it passed my standard search engine pre-purchase tests (searching for "shareasale sucks", "shareasale cheated", "shareasale screwed me") with flying colors (in other words, no one talking trash about them AT ALL).

But my experience AFTER I signed up has been so pleasant and satisfying (Brian and the gang are nothing but helpful) that I must say that even if some affiliate networks are "bigger", Shareasale is the bestest, most huge-tastic, and giant-riffic program out there. Oh yeah, and honesty-licious. I dare anyone to try to prove my nonsense adjectives are not the truth!

Anyway, keep rocking Brian and Co!

    Toxey

P.S. I wouldn't be this happy if joining with Shareasale hadn't produced affiliate sales. They have, my affiliates have, and I get happier with each month.

    P.S.S. This was not a suck-up! I meant every word... especially honesty-licious.
