I know you don't want to hear this but this post should of been posted in a different forum.
Also since this forum is a paid forum please go to

http://www.abestweb.com/merchants/advertising.htm to announce your program. not in shareasale's paid forum.

Jason, This has been posted in that forum as well. So I'd guess this is a paid announcement.

    Temporary sheriff badge = COP
I'd rather have an ATF badge, they can get away with anything!

Back to topic, the Shoe Spot sounds interesting and will be looking into it soon.

    Thanks!

I just noticed Shoe Spot is no longer on SAS. Anyone know if this is permanent? I was actually getting a few sales from them.

I think this has happened several times with them already. They seem to forget to add funds to their SaS account, and in the meantime, guess it's free sales for them.

I also don't understand why were commissions lowered from 15% to 10%?

Maybe I am wrong, but I think the links stop functioning when a merchant goes offline - they won't be getting any sales from it.

You are right Samy T! Once they are out of funds, the links pointing to them through Share-a-Sale takes them to a page that states the merchant is temporarily offline.

Nonetheless, they must be doing quite good if they run out of funds....That would be a nice problem to have, but going offline should never happen for a merchant.

They now have an option of automatic billing...When my account gets low it is automatically replenished through my credit card....Maybe other merchants don't know about this option yet.......It's a terrific option and I don't have to worry about replenishing my account!

    Hello

I am so sorry that I am just seeing these messages now. My email and server have been down for days and they are finally back up.

The Shoe Spot program is offline currently as the company is changing hands. When I have more information I will let you know immediately. This week I hope to have firm answers and a plan moving forward from my client.

This was as unexpected for me as it was for all of you so we are all in the same boat here....

I apologize for any inconveniece. Please contact me directly if you like at anytime.

    Hello Liz,
Thank you for the update. Shouldn't we be notified when something like this happens, or are we supposed to check the status of a merchant constantly to make sure they are still active?

    Hi,

Yes I do think that the partners should be notified with any change or update within the program and I apologize that there has been no statement made however I do not feel right about making one as I am also awaiting news on my destiny as their affiliate manager...

I have asked Shoe Spot to consider the affiliate partners and keep in mind how important the relationships are and I hope that they will come to a firm decision soon to get the program back up and running. I also hope to continue to manage the program under the new owners.

This was just as much of a surprise to me and considering that I just started a family I am just as eager to hear the next steps as you all are

I appreciate your patience on this matter and I wish that I had an answer for all of us. My number one priority is the happiness of the affiliate partners and it is very important to me to represent merchants who feel the same way. I know that Shoe Spot is looking forward to making the most of their online business and I am sure that their new owners realize the full potential of an affiliate program.

    This merchant is offline.
Why would we do business with someone who can't stay in active mode?

Too bad I already removed most of my links...

Thank you "Affiliate" for your post. As I told you before, I am not actively representing their program as they have not given me notice either that they are back online. If I hear from them and choose to have them as a client again I will let you all know. For now, I do not feel comfortable making any statements on their behalf and as far as I know I am not their affiliate manager as the new owners have not contacted me.

I apologize for the inconveniences caused by their abrupt offline status. I had no notice as well and it was just as difficult for me as I just started a family and was relying on that income to support us- so you are not the only one inconvenienced and I have done my best to apologize and mend the situation but you continue to post as if I am doing my job poorly. Please understand that I have asked them repeatedly for the past month to take my earnings and deposit them into SAS and get the program back online because my number 1 concern was the affiliates.

I also apologize that I didn't see your post sooner to respond however I was out of town introducing my newborn daughter to her grandparents.

    Lizabeth,

It's not your fault the program was down. I'm OK with that. But, ShoeSpot has some major repair work to do before I consider adding them back again. They were converting pretty well too.

    Congrat's on the new addition!

    HI Jungleland
Thank you for understanding that part of my posts

I have told them that the affiliates will not be "super cool" with the program even if they came back online... so they are aware.
Unfortunately merchants don't always understand the impact that these situations have on the most important partnerships a merchant will have.

It really does stink because their program was picking up nicely!

    Liz
