    Hello,
I just had two affiliates get credit for the same transaction.....I guess this customer must have visited both sites at one point, and had valid cookies for both sites......I am not going to reverse this transaction for one of my affiliates because it was only about $1.00 in commission for each, even though I can track which was the last site that referred that customer.

Is this going to pose a problem in the future? Is this common? What would other merchants do? Is that why some people have shorter cookies? I have a 365 day cookie so it can benefit my affiliates. Your comments always appreciated!

    Cheers,

    Hi Brian,

I thought this would be s good place to pose this question....It's not a private question..In fact I think other merchants could benefit from hearing the answer here.

If it was a private problem, I would have most definitely asked you in confidence...I also thought I may get the answer from other merchants, because I am sure other merchants may have experienced this before and wanted to know how they handled it...

    Cheers,
    Richard

"I can track which was the last site that referred that customer."

Last site/click should get the sale.

    Hi Trust,
That's how I was assuming it should be handled ...
it just is manual work I didn't want to bother with, plus it would affect my reversal rate.

    Cheers,

I think it should be handled by SAS tracking without any manual work. There must be some kind of glitch somewhere.
