Got this from one SAS merchant:

    Hello All,

We got emails from affiliates saying that their links were inactive. Well, I
have news! It is possible that you left out an important step in signing up or
you haven't checked your email/ junk mail recently.

This is a passage from Shareasale.com sent to one of our troubled affiliates:

"Did you click on the link in the confirmation email that we sent? I show your
    application as awaiting email confirmation.

I've approved your application and you should now be able log in to our system
and get your links. Let me know if you have any questions.

    shareasale@shareasale.com"

    ACTION NEEDED

Make sure you have completed the confirmation process.
Now, if your links aren't active; you're losing money as we speak.

Thank you for promoting our business.

We have to click some sort of link in the email for confirmation? I don't remember ever doing that.

That was news to me as well. I did some test clicks with the merchant and they showed immediately, so I guess I am good.

I have never heard such a bullsh#t tale from a merchant.

I had their links up in a few spots, though I never "confirmed" any email to gain "approval". And without said "approval", I would not have been able to retrieve their links from the SAS interface in the first place. Clicks were tracking, so the link was indeed "active". Then the merchant went "temporarily offline" and the clicks stopped tracking.

Never made a nickel off of them but the links I replaced them with have produced sales every day, so Dancesavvy or Dancehabit or whatever they call themselves can go and do the twist for all I care.

Who did you replace them with?
    PM me if you want.
    Thanks

Just another shoe merchant in the same spot. Granted, not "dance-specific", but it's in spots where any *converting* shoe merchant will do.

I have never had to confirm an email in SAS. Actually, I don't even get a welcoming email. I get emails saying, I know you have applied, I'll check in a few days and let you know if you are accepted. Invariably I am accepted, but if I didn't check myself I wouldn't know.
