I am building a new website, which I am going to market, and charge membership for. (No, It's not porn related).

I have been looking high and low for a nice, clean, easy to install and understand login script, and every time I ask somewhere, someone just throws the link of a well known script database site at me.

I have searched (ALL of them), and I honestly can't find one. I have never used such a script before, so I don't really know what to look for, so I am hoping that someone who has a little more experience with this can help me.

I have downloaded several, but they were severely complicated, ugly, annoying and had links to the authors sites all over them, and I am tired of installing stuff with trial and error, just to find that it's a lousy script.

Here's what I need.

[1] I need to give each member a seperate, changeable password. I need to be able to delete (or suspend) members and the password at will, should they not keep membership payments up.

[2]I need to be able to email ALL members that are on the members database file. The email section doesn't have to be pretty, but it does need to be functional.

[2] The login script MUST be clean and editable. I just want a SIMPLE form on the front page where is says:

Name:
Password:

...and when the member completes those feilds, they will seamlessly glide into the site, with NO hassle, NO fuss!

[3] I do not want any co branding, or links to free opensource software sites all over the script.

[4] It must be 100% editable, so that I can make the HTML suit my site, exactly the way I would like it.

It must NOT be a popup .htpassword type script, because that's plain ugly. I would prefer if it was a Perl/CGI script, because I know nothing about SQL, databases, or php.

Please help me, and I will be extremely happy.

I honestly feel that I am not asking much. Just a CLEAN, easy to install membership script that has email functions and an admincenter.

Maybe i can make a custom script for you?
What kind of database are you using? flat file databases?

Reply, or e-mail me. this script wouldn't be hard for me to make.

I don't know much about DB's yet

I am working on it though

I dunno what I have, but I know that my server comes with all options.

I have a wicked idea. Maybe you would like to chat with me, if you know about scripts. Do you know much about email scripts, and forms?
