I know that there have been times I have been very pissed over this little annoying script. (Not that I don't sometimes use it myself) It's just that when there is also no toolbar on the window you can't view the code, no way, no how.

Until now, HA HA , I love it!!!

Here is the trick: click and hold the right mouse key, the popup will appear. While holding down the right mouse key, left click on "Ok". Release the right mouse key and you will be able to select view source.

Thanks Haiko, Now guess what I found? It's the script you have been looking for forever.

If you didn't find it already that is.

PM me now and I will send it to you.

Also, please check your PMS as I sent you one about a 1/2 hour ago.

You know what I hate about those stupid java scripts? you can't open anything in a new window or right click for properties if you want to see where a link REALLY goes.

I've been doing this too long to bother stealing someone else's code and hate it when they assume that right clicking means that's what I'm trying to do!

SHIFT+CLICK

>or right click for properties if you want to see where a link REALLY goes.
CLICK AND HOLD => Statusbar

If there is no statusbar and no menu on top. Press CONTROL+N => Opens a new window with same content + statusbar.

If you really need the code and the options above wont work, save the page to your harddrive and open it with an editor.

There are very, very few pages you really cant look at.

Okay, so when I put that in the body section it gives me a text box. What do you type into the box? The url you want to see?

When I tried that I got an error.

Tip.
It's particularly useful for using on sites which you suspect to be using redirects.

ie. someone clicks your link and visits the merchant(a) site, which then redirects to merchant(b) site using mechant(b) affiliate codes and therefore rendering your cookie useless.

Not that any merchants would do this of course

But it doesn't harm them to know that webmasters do check these things occasionally.

I haven't caught any cheating this way yet. Time will tell.

Very cool tip, Guffy. Never seen that one before, and it sure is easier to remember than holding, clicking left, clicking right, while you sing dixie (or just resort to opening the temp internet files and sorting by modification date already).

Thanks, Quiet777. I knew most of that but did learn some new things and I love it when that happens!

I'm just lazy...if I can't right click it annoys me and I just close the window
